energy
I am still doing good. My surgery was one week ago today. I am tolerating food and fluids without any problems. How soon can I expect to get my energy back. I am walking for about 20-30 minutes at a time, but my legs feel like they are dragging. I am grateful for the good luck I am having but am curious when I will be zipping around. Thanks, Wendy
Don't want to scare you but mine did not start coming bac****il I was around 7 months post-op. I mean really!! I tried uping my protien and it still didn't work enough. Eventually though, it just came back and I feel normal again. I can't believe how long it took. I am telling you this because I was starting to worry about something being wrong but, I am doing everything ok and I had read a post from someone else who said it took them around 6 months to get their energy back. I am just glad it was the same case for me.
You sound like your doing great. Good work.

Hi Wendy.
It takes a while. You've had major surgery under a general anesthetic. It's normal to feel sluggish.
I am 4 1/2 months out and have a little more energy than I did, but not where I'd like to be. I was told to up my B12. I now take a sublingual in addition to the monthly injection.
It took one of my coworkers about 6 months to really get her energy going.

At about a month out I felt human again and back to the land of the living. At three months out I was feeling a new energy, it was quite awesome. Now at 8 months out and over 100 pounds gone I have energy that I have never had before. I can work all day, come home and do yard work, come indoors and clean up my house, go to church, take in some shopping......and thats all in the same day!!! I have never had this much endurance.
