Update from Mayo....
Sherri,
When I was a young teenager (13 or 14 I believe it was) I got a "infection" that my PCP tried for two years to treat with different antibiotics. I had constant diaharrea and would spike a fever whenever I would eat, and after a lot of tests during that two years they decided that to go in and take out that section of my intestine that kept getting infected. Is that even a possibility for you? If it is just that "blind loop" that they can't keep clear, is it operatable then? Just wondering if that would/could be a solution?
Ya know, sometimes I wish I was a magical healer for everyone, hehe! I hate to see ANYONE suffering.
Blessings

What they are calling the blind loop for me is the section that goes from the bottom of my original stomach to the 'Y'. The only surgical solution is to reverse my RNY. Not gonna happen if I can help it! So...I'll be antibiotic'ing it until it's resolved. Hopefully, once it's resolved, it'll stay resolved.

Well Dang!
It would figure with your luck that operating on it would cause something you diffently don't want. I hope all higher powers finally let/get those antibiotics working for you. This has been one long test of patiences for you and I hope it finally starts coming to an end for you.

Sherri:
That is the same area that I am having my problem! I am having a g-tube inserted and endoscope and then the g-tube removed. But mine is that Spinchter Oddie that is spazzing. All from having my gallbladder removed and the bile backing up to Mr. Oddie and getting into my stomach (I guess!). I'm following your case. I go to my PCP on Friday and he is to refer me to the surgeon that will do the endoscope (from IU). Dr. Inman will do the g-tube in and out (2 procedures). I can't wait till it's fixed cause it really, really hurts at times.
