Good morming to all

Nothing much happening here today, got alot of work to do.  Trying to work ahead on some homework since I have a break this week.

I am hoping to get some carpet shampooed tonight after I get home from work.  I hate cleaning carpet, but since we had all the kids through the house they need it so badly.

Everyone have a wonderful day, talk soon.  I need to make me some coffee, give me coffee, give me coffee. and more coffee.  I should have stopped by Starbucks this morning, oh well I got a coffee pot on my desk.  (I am the only one around here that drinks decaf).

Hugs

I am having issues with signal strength this morning from Verizon.  So I dont have internet or phones all the time.  It's cuttin in and out.  So be patient if you text me.  I will reply as soon as it can be done.

Not much on the agenda for today.  I am gonna do some housework and read a book.  Dont think I will get much internet time in.  I also have a couple errands to run.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Huge hugs,

Good morning all...

I'm sitting here waiting on Dr. Mangan to call me back. He called me yesterday...but Bill & I discussed it all last night & have some questions for the doctor so I'm waiting for him to call me back so I can ask the questions. Quite honestly, I'm pissed off. He is having me fly all the way back to Minnisota to repeat a 24 hour urine collection test...and talk to a dietician/endocrinologist. I'm slightly more than ticked. I expected better out of Mayo. He ran 3 days worth of tests and is ALREADY blaming my RNY! GRRRRR! That, and my gall bladder being out..since 2002! I'm going to ask to see a hernia specialist while I'm there. It could be that the distension is perfectly normal for someone whose abdominal wall is wide open like mine is. The diarrhea may be too.  I would also like an answer as to why I've had to be on antibiotics for an intestinal bacterial infection SIX times. Either they aren't getting rid of it or it keeps coming back. Lastly, he told me to take Imodium. Jeesh, like that wouldn't had been one of the first things tried...???? But he asked me if I was "taking the max..like 8 or 12". The max on the box says 4 per 24 hours. So...just how many should I take??

I just feel like marching into Dr. Gupta's office and demanding to be closed up NOW! This crap has gone on WAY to damn long! Yeah, I'm at the end of my rope with this. I'm sorry guys & gals but my patience has just ran out. I'll keep you all informed....

Have a good day everyone.

Well sweetie you have been a model patient.. I would have thrown hissy fits WAY long ago!! Ask your questions and tell him THAT is why you went to MAYO to begin with is THEY were supossed to be the one with the answers. Please keep the faith.. For everything there is a reason... they are just taking time finding your reason..

Today I am taking my sister for her second to the last pin point brain radiation treatment. the last one is Thursday. So far the radiation has shrunk the brain tumor from a plum size to a walnut. they hope this last 3 treatments will get rid of it completely. giving her a better quality of life for the time she has left. Her lung tumor has shrunk some but that is inoperable.

life has not been fun lately... I am just going day to day to get done what needs to be done..If that were posible, My smile usually includes the girls.. they make me happy when skys are grey.

Be well and Sherri Keep your chin up...

I'd be complaining alot more by now, too, Sherri. You have been really patient. Of course I have been pretty irritable all around lately, so could be I'm not the right person to ask, LOL. I gave the evil eye the other day to a girl who cut in front me at McDonalds. I didn't realize I did it, but she saw me and apologized and got back!

Anyway, you deserve better than this, Sherri.

Sherri,

I am originally from Indiana and Dr. Gupta did my Roux-en-y surgery in May of 2005.  I now live in Rochester MN and work at Mayo clinic, as a matter of fact I work in GI surgery.... I do a lot of gastric bypasses and etc.  Be patient.... you'll get the answers you need.  Thats all I can say is be patient.  Im sorry that you have to fly all the way back here.  Maybe there is a way you can fax your UA results back to the clinic?  I have seen many post bypass patient that are sick, that come in and get fixed and give many thanks afterward.. it'll happen.

Keep your head up!

Sherri, I understand you being upset. I don't think I could deal with all that you have gone through. Ask the doctors at Mayo if you can have the test done here and have the results faxed to them. They have let my sister do that. Please have faith in the doctors there. They are supposed to be some of the best in the country. Jana

Mornin' Everyone.  Have a lot on my plate today.  Quarterly reports and a grant due tomorrow.  Lots of typing.  I have a horrible sinus infection that's making the whole left side of my head and neck throb.  My head hurts.  My throat hurts. My eyes and nose are runny.  But other than that, I'm ok.

Sherry, I honestly don't know how you've lasted this long!  I would've blown my lid long, long ago.  It's about time you got pissed off!!!!

Hope everyone enjoys this day.  I'm really going to do my best.

Oodles of love and smooches,
Jacqui

(((HUGS))) for everyone. Busy at work today so I wanted to jump on to say "Hi" to everyone.
Sherry, I want to BLOW my lid for you! Of course your expectations were higher going to Mayo. It's time that they find something out. No one wants to feel like there isn't an answer. It's out there but, dang-it its time that someone found it for you.
You are in my mind, heart and prayers today, especially.

Have a good day everyone!
Peace~Love~Happiness

Hello to everyone. Not much going on around here today. Its almost naptime so yay for that. I need one today too; housework has worn me out for the day.
I'm getting excited for my consultation on Thursday. I'm going to sit down tonight and try to think of questions to write down that I want to be sure to get the answers to. I'm not sure what on earth I should be asking though. I just hate hurry up and wait situations. Its almost like my wedding; I know its coming fast but time just seems to be dragging on.
Hope everyone has a good rest of their day
