I said that I would post my schedule for you all the other day then had life get in the way and have not had time to get that done so here goes.   My girlfriend was coming to stay with me for a few days after surgery and she made me have everything on paper for her..what I needed at what time so it forced me to make out a schedule that included everything I needed in a day.  You can change it to suit your own needs but I did find it extremely helpful during the first couple of months.  If you followed my schedule exactally I think you would only have to drink slightly more than five ounces every half hour.

8:00am    Multi Vitamin ( or whatever combo you do in the morning)w/water
8:30am    4 oz protein shake
9:00am    sip sip sip
9:30am    Stop Sipping
10:00am  Breakfast  (30 mins to eat and 30 mins following NO DRINKING)
11:00am  Start sipping again take your calcium
11:30am  Sip Sip Sip
12:00pm  4 oz protein
12:30pm  Sip Sip Sip
1:00pm    Iron tablet / Sip Sip Sip
1;30pm    Stop Drinking
2:00pm     Lunch
3:00pm    Ok to drink again Sip Sip Sip
3:30pm    Sip Sip Sip
4:00pm    4 oz protein shake

Thanks Jeannie,  I was going to post something today requesting how others daily routines were.  I am going back to work next week (ugh) and have been thinking I need to get something on paper that I can post at my work station that will keep me on track.  I like your plan!  Do you take all of the calcium for the day at one time, if so what kind to you take?

Thanks again, Dawn

Thank you for doing that!!!!!  That schedule was the only thing that I was worried or stressed about in mine and my wife's upcoming surgery.

Dawn or anyone else asking about the calcium.....remember only 500mg of calcium can be absorped by your body at once so don't take more than that at one sitting or you are just wasting the excess and will suffer.  So it has to be split up.

Should have mentioned I answered Dawn privately about what/when/how I take my calcium.  If anyone is interested I use the Citracal Calcium Citrate w/D Petites from Walmart. Two of these twice a day is how I take them, morning and night.  I have the alarm set on my cell phone to remind me to take these.   These are not so huge and I can swallow them with no problem, however they can be disolved in a small amount of water and added to your drink if swallowing them is a problem, they have no taste and will not change the taste of your drink of choice.

I started out on the wafers but they felt so huge in my mouth and tasted so strong that I just couldn't do them anymore. I had a blueberry flavored one from Natures Cuppboard and a citrus flavored one from Vitamin Shoppe. I would love to do the creamy bites but can hardly justify the price compared to the Citracal.
