Help

Hi it has been awhile since I hav been on the site. I was wanting to have the surgey and started going through the process. My Dr. and I were having trouble with want needed to be done to qualify for the surgery and what exactly the protocal.
So I just got agervated and gave up
I really regret doing that as my health has very much sufford from that. I have talked to my Dr. and he wants me to FIND a Dr. so I can have the surgery!! He said my health is basicly dependant on it!! I am 35 I weigh 348lbs and am 5'3inches. I have IN medicaid .
I was also wanting to know of any support groups that I can attend and be a part of duriing and after this whole process. something that will help me with all the changes that I will be going through.

There is a post here on the board..I think it's the 2nd one...that has the names of some of the surgeons & hospitals that accept medicaid. Each of the hospitals usually has support group meetings for pre & post-ops on a monthly basis (if not more). In addition to those, we here on the board also get together quite abit and you are welcome to participate in anything you see on here s well.
