Some products I've found that work for me...
Thought this might be a good place to post some things that work well for you. It can be anything! I have a list of things that I use so as I was writing them down on my shopping list last night, I thought I'd share them with you guys. Who knows, maybe some of you are dealing with the same issues I am. Maybe these things will work for you too!
As most of you know, my hair fell out about 6 months post op. It didn't all fall out but a whole, whole, lot of it did. When it grew back it came in very curly. I honestly didn't know what to do about it. I've always had super straight hair. I always dreamed of having lovely locks of curly hair. (Be careful what you wish for!) Well thanks to my last Secret Elf, I discovered the Aussie line of hair products. I use Aussie Sprunch and Aussie Instant Freeze products. It's still not the hair I dreamed of but at least it's a little more managable.
I also have a problem with external yeast infections. I've had that for most of my life. My dear, sweet Gail Owens shared with me early on in my journey that jock itch spray helps with it. I bought some TING Antifungal Spray and haven't had one problem with the yeast since. I just lift up the flaps and spray after each shower. No problem. It's the cheapest product I've found too. Most dollar stores carry it.
Now the TING helps with the fungal problems under the flaps but it wasn't helping with my belly button. It was just plain gross! I found a powder called Monistat Soothing Care Medicated Powder and started using it on my belly after each shower and no more problem! I thought that one was going to be the hardest one to cure but thankfully I found something quickly.
As for skincare, I've recently started using some Avon products that I really like. One is called Skin So Soft Age Defying Corrective Neck & Chest Treatment. I put it on each morning. Just rub a small amount on my turkey gobbler and shoulders and I've really noticed a difference! I've only been using it a week too. For my face I've been using samples of Avon's Anew Thermafirm Facelifting cream. I use it in combination with the Anew Age Transforming Foundating and I like it a lot. It makes my skin look much smoother. As far as facelifting effects, I'm not sure I'd go that far but it does make a difference in the appearance of my skin. Can't complain about that.
I'll be trying some new teeth whitening products as soon as they come in. I'll report how well it works.
That's about all I have to report on. I hope others have things they'll add.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Smooches,
Jacqui

Speaking of hair care products (I have an addiction to these). I love Redken Hot Sets when using the curling iron. It will help hold your curl unlike anything else I have ever tried. If you use a curling iron this is a MUST have. I buy this at the Walmart hair salon not in the store, its about $15. My mother is a licensed beautician and can get it a *****eaper but we have to go to Greenwood to pick it up.
I only use Lady Mitchum deodorant, it works great. My girlfriend introduced me to this about ten years ago and I still thank her for that. Don't buy the stick kind though because it has a tendency to dry out and crumble.
I ordered the PB2 from BellPlantation.com its a great alternative to real peanut butter. For those of you who have never heard of it, it is a powdered peanut butter that you add water to. I use it to dip apples in. It is a lil bland so I add a dash of salt to it. They have a new chocolate flavor that I will order next time, someone told me it tastes like no bake cookies so I think that would be great in oatmeal.

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
Careful with this one...
Before I had my plastics, I had a doctor to tell me to use Selsun Blue to shower my whole body with to help with the rashes. It helped with the rasshes alright but it also zapped me in other places and gave me one heck of yeast infection. Now when I use the blue, it is for my hair only and I don't let any of the suds get 'there' anymore.
