about this
Just keep sipping. Take breaks to give your system a chance to move the fluids along and for your own comfort. You will not be able to get everything in, that is to be expected. Just try to do your best and everything will be fine. Also, don't be surprised if you cannot get in all of your vitamins and supplements. You just don't have a lot of room now. Do your best and it will be fine.

I found a schedule I had made for myself for the time immediately following surgery. It really helped me stay on track so I am sharing it with you. If you follow this schedule or change it to suit your needs / hours you would only have to sip a lil more than 5 oz's of liquids during each half hour and it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I got all my proteins and liquids in on my second day home but I had to get up extra early and stay up late some days. The most important thing for now is your liquids, concentrate on getting your liquids in first.

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
Jeannie, I love your schedule. I am going to change the times to fit my schedule and I'm going to print it out and sit it on my desk or keep it with me all the time. I really need a reminder to drink. I was told one time that if you really pay attention to your body, your mouth will let you know when you need fluids. It will get dry and so many of us just don't think about it or we get a mint or confuse the dryness for hunger. Before the surgery I could guzzle water so I could drink 16 ounces in just a minute or two. I loved my water and still do and get frustrated when I can't drink enough. But, I forget a lot and should tie the water bottle around my neck so I won't forget. What designer jewelry that would be HA! I have seriously considered buying some kind of jug holder though and doing that. At wor****ep my water right by my desk but still forget to grab and sip when I am busy.
