Well, 2 surgeries later here I am. To bring you up to speed----The first pacemaker was put in on Thursday and something was not right so they went back in Friday (with 2 of the pacemaker manufacturer reps in the operating room with me--ONE VERY CUTE ONE--Susie Wong would have appreciated this!!! AT least my humor has not changed!!
The problem turned out that every time I stood up or turned over it caused the heart to go into atrial fib (I think that is how it is spelled). The reason for this believe it or not is that I am tall and also with the weight loss it caused my heart to drop in my cavity a little which caused the heart to dangle with too short of a wire---kind of like jello. They added extra wire and said that should do the trick.
I got to come home yesterday with my arm in a sling, can't drive for 2 weeks and cannot lift my arm above my head for 6 weeks. Hopefully I will go back to work in about 2 weeks.
Joe's Mom is still doing OK. Still having problems with CHF but is going to therapy and trying to get some strength.
Joe is being a trooper. Without the RNY he would have never have had the stamina to keep up with all of this.
I am very proud of him.
All in all everything good-still scary but such is life.
Glad to hear everyone is good. I am going to go through and catch up with posts over the next few days.
I did see your kitchen Gina and I am so jealous because having my kitchen done is one of my dreams!!
Dee, you can come to Indiana anytime!!!!
We really did appreciate all the good thoughts and wishes this week. Life seems to be like a roller coaster.
Everyone have a good weekend and for those having surgery this week our thoughts will be with you and the best of luck!!!!
