Saturday Morning!

Good morning all.  I am up early like always, since I have to be at work again at 9 am.  Only one more day, and then I have 3 days off.  Monday is mine and Jimmy's wedding anniversary.  Wooooooo hoooooo 13 years! LOL

Good morning everyone!
I am working EMS today so I thought I would hop on here and see what was going on.  After I get off here tonight at 7pm, I will do my weekly trip to Walmart to grocery shop.  Then Sunday my plans are to be a couch potato and get caught up on some much needed rest.
Suppose to be a crappy weekend here and possibility of snow flurries tomorrow....what is up with that?
I am ready for some heat to warm my bones up...lol.

Hi all... I guess I've been kinda quiet this week. I have been waking up late, just barely making it to work in time. It's hard to get up. Last night, I worked in Maggie's room, packing up clothes and stuff we're going to donate to a charity that helped us last summer after the flood. I told the coordinater Maggie loved shopping and had enough of a wardrobe for three kids her age. It was true too. She was our little glamour girl. She didn't care if they were all new though either. We would shop clearance, and thrift stores too.

Morning everyone, 
   Hope you all have a great weekend. I know it is suppose to rain, but there is always something indoors to enjoy- even if it is a NAP! I need to get staples in, do housework, catch up with everyone here, but taking it a day at a time .
   Spent most of yesturday at Hospice with Karen & our family. As of last night she is going to recieve her meds. thru her port, since she can hardly swallow. My grandson Nick came down and she told him she was sorry she couldn't get up out of bed & make him cookies. She did every time he came over when little.My BIL tossed out all of the meds. that hadn't been stolen and has rearranged  the cabinet where they kept them, to just his vitamen's. I think They are all preparing themselves for the future. Her daughter found a beautiful skirt suit for her,at a thrift shop. The beautician came down Thurs. after her bath and did her hair -she looks so pretty. She never complains about pain, or anything and is always saying thank you for even the slightest thing done for her.My DH is really struggling with her passing- they are sooo close. 

   Today, I am going to exercise and then  got to get some housework done. Of course, everything is subject to change. Our bedroom is all painted & now DH is ready to put in the molding he has done,& lighting.After that, he plans to remake our headboard, then we move back into it- woo-hoo, only been 1 yr. in the making!!!!!
   I am thinking of you all. 
 

Good morning all...

I think Bill wants us to go look at vehicles today. Unless he plans on buying me one, I don't know why. I can't afford one right now. I'd let him though.  I'd like to have a Kia SUV like Brenda & Floyd's. It'd be easier on gas than my Durango is. Not to mention..they have the auto-start in they key Fob..I want that!! So...we'll see.

After we car shop...I think we're planning on going to Red Lobster for dinner....if the lobster fest is still going on. I love seafood so I'm definately good with that idea!

Good morning, Indiana! 

I am sooo glad it's the weekend!  Today I am spending time with a girlfriend sitting in a hot tub.  It doesn't get better than that!  I know I still have to do some catch up work today, but I'm just really looking forward to the r&r girl time.

Good morning everybody.  Glad to hear the newbies are getting home and started on their new lives.  Sorry you're not home yet Lisa but your's was not done lap so give yourself time to heal.  

I had hoped to get back up to see everyone again on Thursday but another patient at Seaton called me and really needed a visit.  I haven't heard from Alta but she was doing fantastic  Tuesday and hardly on pain meds at all.  She was still in the hospital Thursday night but I was at Seaton until after 9 PM.  I needed to head for home.

Congrats on being in the category of just Overweight now.  I know what a wonderful feeling that is.  Been there, done that, and I don't ever want to be there again and am committed to do whatever it takes to maintain my weight and stay healthy too.

There are so many posts I want to respond to but with my dad's kidney tumor and blockage in his other kidney, my time has been devoted to them.  They've done enough tests now that his doctor says due to its consistency it probably is cancer.  He has 2 surgical procedures in the next 3 weeks.  I'll be there with them and will stay as long as I am needed.  

Please add my dad to your prayers.  His name is Harold.  Sorry I can't respond to each and every post like I would like too. 

I love all of you and encourage you to set short term goals for yourself.  Work on a positive attitude.  It does take work.  Negative "stinkin thinkin" is there in our heads without much effort.  But we have to really work at turning that stinkin thinkin around into something positive.  

Whatever change we are trying to make in our life, it won't change until we do something different to make it a reality.  If we keep doing the same thing over and over, we are just spinning our wheels.  Believing in yourself that you can make the changes one step at a time is positive thinking.  I was a very negative person.  I am here to tell you that people can change but there is no magic to it.  It takes lots of hard work, hard knocks, and a hard will to not give up.

That's my encouragement for all of us today.
