Hi everybody!!! Has been a long time since posting.
We have had quite a few ups and downs going on at our home. Don't want to bore everybody but this should bring everyone interested up to speed.
First we have spent several weeks now at the hospital off and on with Joe's Mom. Thought we were going to loose her this time. Spent awhile in ICU & progresssive care units with Pneumonia along with her CHF and another heart attack but did get to take her home for "almost" 24 hours and then back we went. She should have never have came home but got to love those insurance companies!!
During this time and for a good time before this I have been experincing some things also. Kept waiting for all the energy everyone has (including Joe) and it was not happening. Have been ill several times since the first of the year. Thought it was due to surgery and my body was just "down".
WELLLLLLL, here goes...I get to go to surgery to have a pacemaker put in tomorrow (today actually since it is almost 4am and I can't sleep and have my laptop here at the hospital (ICU). My heart rate has been running very slow for a few years now and my PCP was getting concerned and this time ordered EKGS and I was at a 44 then 45 heart rate. (Wonder why I have been so tired and sleep so much???)
Had to have stress tests and all the other junk done and it was determined that my smaller vessels just are not pumping enough blood so thus the pacemaker for a good ol' 53 year old!!! At least no blockage!!
Good news is--they say I should feel great after this with really no problems.
Joe has had "fun" with me in one room and his Mother 2 doors down in ICU.
She is doing better and has been moved to a different unit and is now doing so much better. She will go to an extended care facility for a few weeks for therapy to get her strengh back up which is a God send for us right now.
On a lighter note, I have reached ONEderland although going much slower at weight loss now and Joe is within about 20-25 pounds of goal. (need to update ticker!)
But to my OH family, you guys are the best and I have looked in on everyone every now and then just not enough time to respond to all.
To those who have done and are still doing so well--way to go!!!!!and for all of you that are new-- I will look forward to reading your posts and getting to know you!!!.
Please keep us in your prayers today. I am pretty freaked out but am pretty calm right at this moment.
To my Angels and my Angelettes------Love you guys!!!!!!
Connie

Hey Connie, I've been wondering how you have been. Glad to hear from you but, sorry to hear you have been going through so much. Sounds like the pacemaker is something your doc has carefully considered for some time now. Sounds like you have a good one. You just get better and my prayers are sent up for your fast recovery and for your mother-in-law. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/praying.gif)
I've been there with my mom. Last year we had such a scare and she was hospitalized four times from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Luckily she is doing well now.
All my love sweetie and you keep in touch. Let us know how you are doing.
I bet you can't wait to feel better and have more energy.
Take care
