Hump Day

Good morning all!

 

Didn’t get much sleep last night with the wind.  I’ve been awake since about 2:30.  Just couldn’t get back to sleep.  I may skip church tonight and go to bed early.

 

Took off yesterday.  My DIL had an appointment for an ultrasound.  She has POS and has been having terrible pains and problems that get worse each month.  The doctor said she wants her to have a hysterectomy.  I’m hoping that will help all the symptoms but I don’t know that much about it to reassure her.  I did get a couple of cat naps in during the day yesterday and that is probably another reason I didn’t sleep well last night.

 

Work today as usual.  I am getting a bit caught up though so that’s a good thing.  There may be light at the end of the tunnel yet.  I’m not going to complain too much though.  My brother and his wife are both out of work;   she’s not worked in quite a while even though she’s been sending resumes out.  He knew there was going to be downsizing at his office but they were told everyone would find out at the end of the month what the status was.  Last Wednesday morning when it was time for their regular staff meeting some of them were called in and let go.  Just like that, pack your stuff and leave now.  I think that’s pretty rotten.  But a lot of that is happening all over.  I know he is worried because of his age.  They are over 50 but still have a ways to go before retirement.

Good morning all...

Well..back to work. I got here ~4:45 this morning...so come on 3:30! just kidding. I think I should be able to do a whole two days in a row. lol. I was actually awake before the alarm clock went off this morning (by a whopping two minutes, but at 3:29 AM, it was still BEFORE 3:31! LOL!!).

It was disappointing to come back to work without answers. I had tried to hope when I left work on the 12th that when I returned to work, it would be as a healed person. So..coming back with the same problem is discouraging. Eventually....eventually they'll figure it out....right?

I talked with Tiffany yesterday (a few times). Rodney Jr was doing better. He has to have breathing treatments every 4 hours including through-out the night. Tiff was a tired Mommy. They are calling it a viral lung infection right now. I think they would had called it asthma if RJ had been old enough to test for asthma. He goes back to the pediatrician tomorrow.

Tiffany had also heard from Jay yesterday. They didn't have a plesant conversation either. He had also left messages on Rod's cell phone saying that he was entering a 'program' and that for awhile, he wouldn't be able to communicate with any of us. Actually, that is a relief to know. I have no idea what kind of program he's referring to...I guess I'm hoping that it is either a job training program (a corps of some type) or an anger management/drug &/or alcohol rehab type of program. I'm not certain what Jay's problem(s) is/are but he certainly has some that requires far more patience and training than I have.

This evening will be the showing for my Grandpa, then tomorrow morning will be the service.  He will be buried tomorrow afternoon in Bedford IN, his hometown.  I am so glad he chose to have the services here close to home. 

I spent all day Sunday and Monday at my Grandpas bedside and said the things I needed and wanted to say.  He spent his last two days laboring very hard to breath so I have great peace that he has gone to be with the Lord, the alternative of keeping him here was horrible.  I worry so much about my grandma but we will take it one day at a time, hopefully love will be enough to get her through the upcoming days because there certainly is no shortage of that!!

I was thinking I would like to wear a skirt to the services but don't own one so I found one at Walmart that was one clearance.  A size 16 but when I tried it on it fell off me, I couldn't help but smile. 

I am so sorry for you Sherri for not being able to have the answers you have been looking for.  I hope you find the strength to continue to be patient as they struggle to find the answers for you.

Good morning everyone. No big plans for me today, just gonna stay home and enjoy the day with my little guy. We did so much running around yesterday that it made for a very grumpy 2 year old. But we did enjoy a great time at the park in the 70 degree weather!! I can't wait for those temps to continue.

A friend of mine gave me 3 bags full of clothes, she has recently lost quite a bit of weight. While I really appreciate it, I'll never use them all. Anyone need clothes right now? I think they are mainly sizes 16-18.

I'm looking forward to only 2 more days of TPN and then I'l be done with it. Work, here I come! I can't wait to get back to work and bring home a paycheck again. It's been too long. Have a great day everyone!

Good rainy Wednesday morning all. Not going to be able to get out and do much, so my plans for the day are to go thru my closet and get rid of a bunch of stuff. I already have a tote of clothing ready for the exchange. I just need to know when the next one is planned for.  If anyone knows, please pm me. Thanks.

yesturday was a busy one for me- went to have my new dentures formed;too kcare of the twins; & celebrated DH's b-day.Today off & running again. He is going down to see Karen, while I keep the babies, then bible  study.My hand is still giving me trouble- so I can hardly type. the brace is helping.
Jeannie- hon, my prayers are with you & your family. How wonderful it is to know he will no longer suffer. Give your Grammy a big hug for me &take care of yourself ,too.
Sherri- glad to hear Rj is better. Its no fun when o ur grandbabies are ill. Tiff- sending you hugs and try to nap when he does.
Melissa-Hon, keep those clothes- you'll be in them before you know it!I skiiped right thru several sizes- so you might be in them soon!
Julie, Oh, I was afraid of that. My daughter just went thru that is Nov. and is doing wonderful now. She is so glad they finally did the surgery, & no longer has all that pain.Give her my hugs & tell her I am praying for her. I am sure Penny would be glad tyo talk to her if she'd like. Just let me know.

Hope everybody is having a good humpday so far. As for me not really accomplishing much lol.  I have been in a baking mood for 2 days now, have tried to avoid the whole thing, although I like doing it. Strange that before surgery I hated cooking, baking, anything that had to do with the kitchen!!! Now I love to be in there.  Well needless to say that today I cant avoid it any longer, so per my little girls request I'm making a new kind of cupcake for her, but for me (cuz i have be craving pumpkin) I am making wls friendly double layer pumpkin pie. 

Julie I know what you mean about not sleep well.  I have had a hard time this week (actually have that problem alot) Hate just laying and laying there thinking hmmmmmm am I ever gonna fall asleep, it just stinks.

Sherry I really do hope they find what is causing all these problems for you.  You have had to endure all that for long enough.

Good afternoon peeps....(sf of course)
Man we were busy at work last night. Honestly, I love working nights with all the kids...1. Its busier and 2 I don't have all the drama that the day crew brings! GRRRR
I just got spot cleaning my carpet and de-YUCKING ny vacuum. It stop sucking and I had taken the belt off last week and took the hoses of and found the culprit. so Now I have spot cleaned and vacuumed. I think I have spring cleaning fever. Last year at this time I was involved in getting ready for surgery and all that jazz, i really didn't get alot done. I am ready now... I have my flower seeds ready and My mom got us a outside garden found/birdbath for christmas, so I put that together and did some yardwork the other day. I am itching for spring......
Well, I am on book 4 of the Twilight series and I am gonna try to read some before work...I am in Love with this Series. I was at Meijer last fri/sat. at Midnight to get the movie. Have a great day.....

Well it s afternoon now so good afternoon.
They finshed the basement so we are trying to get it organized,ive told the boys i want there rooms cleaned but its not happening..ugh
Jules the economy bites all these businesses offering early retirement so they dont have to lay off,the president said it will get better but its scary watching everyone suffer in the process.
