Wednesday - Hump Day

Good Morning Everyonr,

 

At six yesterday, while fixing dinner, slicing potatoes for fried potatoes...... I sliced into my finger. Because the bleeding to a long while to stop, like till 10:30, I didn't realize just how bad it was. Got out of the ER at 2:30 am with three stitches. 

Dang new knives!!!!!

Hard to time one handed, so I won't be typing much till I get my stitches out.

 

Sherri is on my mind today. I really hope things are going yo end up in her favor and that the Mayo is able to resolve her issues with her tummy finally. She's had to deal with this for far to long now.

Jo, that isn't a good way to end the day.  Hope it's not too painful and will heal quickly.  With Q keeping you on the run I know you need both hands.

Same old, same old for me today.  Got to bed late (for me).  Had small group and we eat dinner together before bible study.  Well, the girls made chicken noodle soup and I didn't chew the noodles up well enough and they ended up dough balls and stuck, so spent the time in the bathroom with the foamies.  You'd think after over three years I'd have learned wouldn't you? 

Worked over last night and probably will tonight.  Have to leave early tomorrow for my mammogram.  Found a lump about the size of a golf ball under my right arm, so the doctor wants to check it out.  Had xrays, Monday,  the mammogram tomorrow and go from there.  I don't think it's anything to worry about, but want to get it checked to be safe.

Sherri,  I do hope Mayo has found the problem and you can get back to "normal".  
Dawn, hope you've recovered from Sunday, I know you must have been exhausted. 

Guess I best go and get some work done.  I suppose that's what they pay me for.  You all have a good day.

Jodi, hon! Ouch! So sorry you had that happen. I know it hurts like crazy, because I have done the same thing before.  Take care.

I am off today, and have several errands to run, but not much of anything else. It is going to be beautiful today, so I am going to get out and enjoy the warmth while I can. Hope you can do the same!

your having to much fun gal....and to old for stitches too...I have been lucky and have had none in my adult hood or any that i remember..i am gonna keep on passing on them too........i will find something else to do...like fall....and i am to old for that too, so i am gonna pass on that as well...how are you doing? other wise? have you seen the fine dr of late?

Sorry to hear about your finger Jodi. I have never had stitches, knock on wood. I am getting ready to head out to the dentist. Then this afternoon I start physical therapy for my feet. I found out yesterday that I need surgery on both of them but we are going to do this first. I really miss being able to get out and hit the pavement.

I hope Sherri can get the answers she needs at Mayo. She couldn't have gone to a better place for answers. My sisters goes back to Mayo Sunday. I hope they can put her on the transplant list for a new set of lungs this time. Please pray for her.  Jana

Wow. Jo that sounds like me. I do not handwash my Knives, though I know i should because every darn time I wash them I cut myself. i have a scar on my finger from where I put a knife tip through it. Ouch!

Good Morning all....
i work dayshift this week so I should get ready for work. Lastnight Bella and I and the dog walked around the block and then drew Hopscotch on the sidewalks with chalk and then did hopscotch for awhile. Def. couldn't have done that 2 years ago. I love my RNY. Knees still are messed up but short of knee replacement surgery nothing i can do.

Good morning all!

I am off to the Auto garage with my truck this morning.  I am hoping it won't cost too much to get it fixed.  I miss having it to drive.  It's been broken since just before I lost my job so I haven't had it to drive in months.  I am excited and nervous.  I just want it back!

I have lots to do today.  I want to work in the yard and the kids will be wanting to get bikes out and checked out for the summer.

Good morning all...

I've been awake for a few hours. I'll be getting ready soon to go eat my radioactive eggs. yummo! I think that's all I get for 7 hours. My body isn't going to know what to think when it can eat 3 meals a day again.  But then, by then, it'll be sharing the room with those pills. I haven't gotten them yet. I hope they aren't huge!

I started my pee collection so...I think I'm doing all I should be this morning.

I was thrilled to see that Tiffany joined the board.  Again sweetie, WELCOME!

You have been on my mind all this week and I just wanted to let you know.  I really admire you. 

You have been through so much.  But through everything you have kept a positive attitude toward WLS and seem to truly appreciate the difference it made for your life, even with the complications.  Even when faced with frustrating cir****tances, you don't get hateful or point an accusing finger at anyone. 

I think most long-termers would agree that it is one's attitude that makes all the difference in a successful weight loss and maintenance.

You are a great example and role model.  Thanks!

Hi All,
  Alot went on yesturday & didn't get a chance to catch up with you all. Karen is being kept as pain free as possible and somewhat sedated. She is calm and somewhat alert. Her body is shutting down slowly. Yesturday they had a counciltation for her, and so much was wrong. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing- so to say, and they finally determined that she will be there atleast till Tues. then discuss what to do next,if she hasn't passed by then. I hate to see her waste away like their father did- a skelaton. She looks alot like him, so it is even harder on her siblings/us. They even asked Kenny if he thought he could care for her at home- HUH???!!!That is why she is there-he can't do it, & tried. I  HATE CANCER!
   
  Going to take care of babies then to bible study tonight. Twins are really sick with colds so they sat in my lap most of the day yesrurday. I went to exercise & boy, I and am  sore today. Between lifting them & then doing free weights, my arms ache. 
 Welcome Tiff & all the newbies to our wonderful group. You find friendship & support here, as well as alittle advice along the way. 
  Jodi, watch those knives girl- hope your finger is healed soon. I got some new PC. knives & wow- they are sharp!! How's Q doing? The tweins are walking/running and into everything. 

Sherri- prayers ongoing for you today. Someday you'll have to go to Rogchester for a visit & go to Silver Lake- thats where the Canadian geese winter at- it is heated. We enjoy the beauty. Sending big gentle hugs & smooches to you.
