Morning All, Happy Tuesday.

The night seemed awfully short to me.  I hit the snooze about four times.  Finally managed to crawl out of bed and wouldn’t you know it, slammed the same toe in to the same door, I had hit during a potty run during the night.  It hurt and still hurts.  Oh well, small stuff!

Have a lot to catch up on at work today after being off yesterday.  I sure could get used to staying home.  Only a few times during my adult life have I been able to be a stay at home mom or wife.  Of course what I figured out during those times is you work sometimes harder than when you go out in to the work place.

I stopped to see Nan yesterday.  She is doing so well.  My niece (her daughter) was there to visit as well.  Nan was laughing and talking with us.  We had a really nice visit.  In talking with my niece, she was telling me that Noel was really going downhill very fast but he won’t be honest with the doctors about it.  The girls called ALS to see what they could do and the lady told them that he was in denial and that soon reality would come to the forefront and then he would have to deal with it and accept it.  It has to be very hard coming to grips with something like that, especially when you had a very different retirement planned.   Please keep them in prayer.

Guess I better get to work.  Will be a very short week.   Besides being off yesterday, I have leave scheduled for Friday.  I wish everyone a wonderful day.  May it bring you nothing but blessings, peace and joy.

Julie

Good morning all!

Julie, I don't know if I told you, but it was great to meet you Sunday and to spend some time with you.  Its always great to get a hug and to put a face with a name.

Today plans are just about the same old thing.  Housework, and paperwor****il Marc gets off work this afternoon.  Then we have some running to do.  I am hoping to see Kim and check in on her.

I am glad yesterday is done.  I had a day of the "munchies" and it was sooo hard to fight it off but I made it through.  I made good food choices and kicked it in the behind with drinking lots and lots of water.   So, here's to hoping today is more normal for me.

I will be praying for Sherri alot today.  She begins her journey with Mayo in about an hour from now.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Good Afternoon.  I have my windows open today and there's a nice breeze and all the birds are singing.

I'm feeling overwhelmed.  I have too many irons in the fire and can't get myself organized like I use to be able too.  Another reason I didn't get back to Pam yet is because of my dad's recent trip to the ER last Friday, finding out he has multiple cysts on his kidney, an enlarged kidney, and enlarged prostate.  I have been checking in with him several times a day.  He goes to see the urologist this afternoon.  They will discuss what needs to be done about the cysts; one cyst is pretty large and is pressing on his bladder and blocking the flow. Rather they can be drained or require surgery.  These are usually benign but he may also have a problem with his kidney and his prostate.  Please pray for him.

I will be going home (Ohio) if any surgery is required.  My mom is more of a wreck than my dad.  She is realizing how much dad does for her and she says she is very spoiled.  Dad is always the healthy one and mom is the sick one.  Dad takes wonderful care of her.  They will be married 60 years this October.  They are both 79 yrs. old.

Yesterday I just needed to escape to my backyard and my birds and get away from my hectic life.

Melissa,  I hope you get some answers to your health issues.  I'm so sorry you had to go thru all that at the hospital.  Praying for you.

Praying for Sherri at Mayo and everyone else that has prayer requests.
Good luck to those of you doing the 5 day pouch test.

I am very lucky to have added so many new members to my family.  You are all very close to my heart.  We may not be blood relatives but we all do share the same blood, sweat, tears, and also joys and blessings of our weight loss journeys.

love and hugs,
Kathy
