Pam,
Oh my gosh, you need to bend me over your knee and give me a good smack on the behind
. I'm so sorry I didn't respond with the directions for you. Please forgive me! I haven't made a very good first impression, have I?
I did post that the time was 7:00 to 8:30. I will send you a PM with my cell phone # in case you get lost or have any questions but here are the directions. I will save you a seat as it get really crowded and I can't wait to meet you. If you want to meet or have a quick bite to eat before the meeting, let me know in the PM. I owe you one for my screwing up.
Come south on US 31 to Kokomo. Turn right on Jefferson Street and you will go a good 3 miles or so (I am guessing). Just stay on Jefferson. You will see an Omelette's Restaurant on the right. You will turn right there. That is St. Joseph Drive. The meeting is in a building on the left hand side about 4 buildings down. I don't believe it is named or marked so give me a call on my cell and I will come out and meet you or we can make arrangement to meet somewhere. There will be a bunch of cars in the parking lot. The meeting is in the door around in the back. There is usually about 40 people at our meetings.
It should be a great meeting with Dr. Evanston speaking.
hugs,
Kathy

Oh that's OK... no bending you over my knee needed. hahaha!!!
My husband plans to attend w/ me (unless his work schedule changes), so you we'll need two seats.
I will be going home to pick up hubby after I get off work (I work in Peru and live in Chili), so that will pretty much take up any "extra" time we may have, so no munchin' before the meeting for me.
I look forward to meeting you and getting the feel of your group. What are the statuses of the people in your group? Are they all post-op?
I am still in the beginning my process and awaiting insurance approval and doing everything that Dr. Stote recommended before I can get my surgery scheduled. I am sooooooooo nervous awaiting word from the insurance company. (I have a problem with impatience... i HATE to wait)!!! hahha!!! so this "hurry up and wait" business is gettin' old... as they say in the Nike commercials... let's just do it!!!!
Okkie doke....I am looking forward to tomorrow and we will "talk" soon.
Thanks

Pam,
It is a mixed group, some still investigating, some waiting for insurance approval, some have surg dates, some pre-op and some post-op. They usually give equal time for the pre-ops to ask questions and the post-ops. But with Dr. Evanson there, the format may change.
They have a clothing exchange every meeting, and an e-mail sign up so we can keep contact with each other between meetings. They send out info on patients in the hospital, send us bariatric newsletters, recipes, and other neat stuff.
Last month I passed around a get well card for Carole Dale. She's from our Kokomo group and everyone signed it and I took it to her in ICU. She really liked that alot.
We had a really good speaker last month and also Dinner By Designs came and talked about their menu's that we can order and they'll deliver them to Kokomo to the meetings every month. Dr. Inman has a Dinner By Designs franchise and anyone can sign up to go to their cooking class once a month thru the dietitians. They are very good meals.
See you tomarrow night. I'll save two seats for you. Look for the lady with 2 empty seats beside her. Will be looking for you too, Kathy.....greenjunebugg.
hugs,
Kathy
