2 questions

So I have my initial consult tomorrow. What questions should I ask? Im a little overwhelmed and a bit nervous.

Also, are there any weightloss blogs that anyone would recommend?

Welcome to the IN board!  Don't  ever feel shy about asking any questions.  There is probably others with the same questions on their mind too.  This is a great group of people that you will grow to adore. 

As far as blogs... I am not sure.  I am a "OH" girl for a long time now and go to the board for all my support and answers. 

Questions for your consultation would be to ask the pros and cons of each procedure.  If you haven't decided which surgery to have... there are several different things to consider.  Dont be nervous, its an amazing journey that you will never regret of forget.  I am so glad I did it.

I am a newb too!  WHere are you doing your surgery??

I had my consult last week, and am now on my liver reduction diet on my way to surgery.

I also have a blog that is in my siggy, and I am working on creating a link list to add there that will link to other weight loss blogs.

I will probably be at St. V -Carmel.  I have no idea what to expect at the consult tomorrow. Hopefully it goes well....

I will be using Clarian.  When I called to the two different centers I was so much happier with the kindness of the people answering the phone, that even though I made appointments at both places, I chose t go with Clarian.

Let me introduce myself to you - I'm the nib nose of the bunch   I'm wondering what's taken you so long to start your weight loss journey.  Your profile says you've been a member of OH since 2005... that's like 4 years of waiting for surgery... That is a good question!! Yes, I looked into surgery a long time ago, but never followed through.  Now, 4 years and many pounds later, im back and really going through with it.  My initial consult was supposed to be today, but I had to reschedule (long story).  BUT, I will be going next Friday, and will actually be seeing Dr. Gupta! How do you like her?

It's good that you've waited this long because there've been a lot of improvements in the surgery in the last few years... and let's face it your weren't ready until now   We've ALL been there with the struggle of even deciding to go to the class, to the type of surgery we have, and picking the doctors...ugh!

I love Dr. Gupta!  She was very patient with me and my list of questions that I came with - most Docs aren't.  I was on the fence about whether to have the band or the RNY and she helped me make the decision based on ME and my needs/wants versus statics.  She is very good.  I could not have picked a better doctor for me.  I hope you like her too!!

Welcome....Feel free to ask as many questions as you want on here. Thats what we are here for. Everyone's stories are diff. I myself have had no complications and smooth sailing for last year and a half. Except for the small little maybe hernia that my lovely daughter may or maynot have given me.
