Lyn update and bowling

Sorry I did not make it today.  I was so looking forward to getting out of the hospital and was dressed and ready to go and even have my "sisterhood travelling jeans" on.  Then I got a phone call that some friends were already on the way up here and almost here so I couldn't really tell them to turn around after they had been on the road almost 2 hours.  I was thinking of being able to support Linda and family and see all my good friends and having some good pitch in food. 

GOOD NEWS----Lyn has officially been weaned from the vent today.  He is off life support which is something they said he probably wouldn't ever do.  They kept saying he would at least have to have it during the night, well they were wrong.  He is breathing with just regular oxygen thru his trach. 

Now we can concentrate on the mental aspect of all of this.  Hopefully wihin 2 weeks he will be home and around familiar noises, family friends and etc and will get something to stimulate him.

So a great day today.  Praise God.

Oh Terry!  this is wonderful news!  I am so glad to hear this!  He's going to surprise those doctors yet!

We missed you at the bowling alley.  A good time was had by all.  I'm sure there will be some pictures posted later.  Dawn did a wonderful job!

Praise the Lord!!!  He is an awesome God!!!  I am so proud of Lyn for fighting so hard.  And I am especially proud of you for being so strong for him! 

I will have to make a trip up that way to see you before he goes home.  I need to see those brown eyes!  Tell him Tracy is doing the happy dance and praising the Lord for all Lyn is doing.  I can't wait to see you again soon.
