I am home now.
I just got home a little while ago. Everything went well and I am feeling pretty good. I have read so many posts and listened to everyone on what to expect and not to expect that I am not really nervous.
I have yet to start passing gas so that is a little uncomfortable. I have not even got on my scales because I gained three pounds when I weighed after surgery. Anybody have any suggestions on how I can get that ball rolling? I am up and walking every hour and half to two hours.
I was not hungry while in the hospital but tonight at home I ate my cottage cheese and sugar free pudding and I think that made me feel better. I am just so scared of over eating since right now everything is so numb.
Melissa - don't you worry about a thing! Only thing you need to concentrate on is getting yourself better. I will talk to you soon!
Thank you OH family for your prayers.

I was told to wak and sip and beleive me it works.
The more you walk you will pass the gas.
I measured out my ounces before i put it in a bowl or on a plate and wrote it down in a journal.
Remember we have all been where you are and along the way you will make a few mistakes.
We are here if you need us take care and ask questions if you have any.
Huggs sweetie

Oh Beth, I so apologize. I wanted to come see you. Actually was at the hospital on Tuesday, but had forgotten to ask your last name, dumb me! They laughed at me when I told them I was looking for a lady named Beth who had RNY with Dr. Evanson at 8am, they still wouldn't tell me your room number. I had all the right details, except the last name issue.
Can't believe they wouldn't tell me!
Glad to hear you are doing well. The fluid weight will come off over time. Mine was off the first day I was home, others I know waited a few days to a week to get their fluid weight off. Please keep in touch and call me if you need anything.

how funny is that? I am sure there were so many Beth's that Dr. Evanson worked on at 8:00 that day I think it was crazy they would not tell you where I was but I guess in the long run it was for my safety. I am so sorry that you could not find the room. To be honest I was pretty well worthless until Wednesday night. My husband has had to let me know who stopped by since I was so out of it.
So how are you doing? Are you feeling better?
Thanks,
Beth

I was pretty much worthless until I stopped taking the Lortab for pain. I was having wild and crazy dreams, hallucinating, etc. Hope you aren't experiencing all that.
I'm ok, going for a gall bladder scan on Monday, still on TPN and thus still off work. Thanks for asking.
