OT...prayers requested

You are correct.  She has kidney reflux.  They did bilateral ureteral reimplant surgery today.  She is out of surgery now and everything went well.  She's still on tons of pain meds at the moment so she's mostly just sleeping, but the surgeon said it went well.

Are you at Riley? I'm going to be there tomorrow to see a friend's daughter who had open heart surgery. If you're there, I'd love to stop up and say hi while I'm there. What's your daughter's first and last name, or room number (PM me, obviously) i you wouldn't mind a visit.

Sorry I didn't get back online in time to see your message.  That first night was a rough night and once the caudill (sp?) wore off she was in a whole lot of pain and it took a while to get it under control.  Then once we did she was sick to her stomach and we had that to try to take care of.   And I don't even want to get started on the bladder spasms!!

Yes, we were at Riley.  She just got home today.  Still has a lot of pain, but at least it's managable now.  Hopefully we're on the road to a smooth and quick recovery!

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers and well wishes.  She is out of surgery and is in her hospital room now.  The surgeon said it went well.  She's on a lot of pain meds right now so she is mostly just sleeping at the moment and they are trying to keep her comfortable.

I'm relieved it is over!!
