It's final! Holiday World 2009 will be on.....

June 6! 

I hope this date works for some of you anyway.  I called to see if I could change it and there are already several outings booked for June 20.  I already have June 6 on their books and the contract came in the mail today so I'm just going to stick with it.  They sent me several brochures with their new ride the PILGRIMS PLUNGE on it.  Let me know if you plan to come and I'll mail you one of them.

The cost per person is $24.95 to be paid at the gate the day of the event.  They aren't charging us a deposit.  This isn't just for OHers either.  Anyone you bring with you can get in at that rate.  I just need to know an around-about number to give them.

I'll work on room rates now since I know the day.  I know for sure I can get us a $59/night rate at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Rockport.  It's 23 miles from Holiday World but it's our newest hotel.  I'll see what I can do about the Comfort Inn in Ferdinand, The Baymont in Dale, Santa's Lodge in Santa Claus and Lake Rudolph.  The state park can't discount their rates.  I've never been very successful at getting lower rates any where else during the peak season but it never hurts to ask!  Larry has already agreed to give us the breakfast buffet discount again this year so count on that.

I'll keep everyone up-to-date on what I find out so you can make your accommodations.  I can't wait!  We had such a great time last year.  Hope more people can make it this year!

That I know of, it will probably just be me & Bill. If my tummy is all better, we'll probably take the RV to Lake Rudolph. If it's not, then Santa's Lodge.

I checked our special discount rate here at work. It is $32 (down from $39.95) for an adult and $27 (down from $29) for a child. So...excellent rate at $24.95/person!

It just all depends as time gets closer if any of the grandkids will be coming or not. I'm not going to talk to Bill about it until we safely have Mayo in our past but I'll let you know as soon as we decide if we want to go kid-free or not.

Thanks for setting this up for us again this year. That was so much fun last year...EVEN WITH my tummy! We even got Gail to ride on a water ride last year! LOL!

We WILL be there.   Like last year we will probably be driving down on Friday.  We'll decide where to stay when you get all the rates together.
I sure hope we have a beautiful day like we had last year.  You tell Miss L that we are riding all the slides if it's warm enough so she better get ready!
I want to make sure we eat at that Inn in Rockport again too.  That place was GREAT.
