Guess who's Back.....and in Pain!

Hey Peeps! OMG we finally got At&t to fix my internet! So I am back....Yeah computer still not here though, still typing on the dinosaur. LOL
So here's the Deal-o! Last week Bella got excited and jumped on my stomache when I was laying on my back. And Bam...OUCH! I have been in seering pain for a week. I am pretty sure I now Have a hernia. I made an appointment with Dr. Mattar for next tuesday. Anybody up for lunch before hand. I am in Pain when bending over, lifting, sitting and laying down. If I put pressure on it, its better. I do feel like a buldge right above my Belly. Fun times. Guess we will find out next week, HUH!

Saw your thread Hi-Jack! lol.  Yes, my surgery date is April 16th at 11am!  It was tentative before, but it is set in stone now I found out.  I knew there was a reason I liked that date  Anyway, sorry about your pain, hope Dr. Mattar figures out what it is.  Anyway, I am up for lunch.  i am off through the week and just live at 38th and 465 so about 7 minutes from his office.  You name the time and place and I will be there:)  Keep in mind I am on the liver reduction diet so as long as I can grab a salad somewhere I should be good:)  I am gonna PM you my cell number so you can call me.

Sorry to hear that you are in pain, BUT there is good news if it is a hernia!!! Maybe your insurance company will cover the panni with hernia repair, mine did! WOOHOO!!! Think positive, maybe it was suppose to happen that way!!!

Not that I think you need the panni removal, cause you are doing awesome!!! BUT, I did hear ya say, .....that skin.......no harm intended!!!

Can't wait to see ya Sunday!!!

Not sure what my schedule is Tuesday, I usually go in around 2 on Tuesdays, I might be able to do lunch????

Shanna,  Its so good to see you back!  I have missed you girl!  Sorry you are in pain with your tummy.  The good news is that it really does sound like a hernia and they are very fixable.  I hope its an easy process for you.

Sorry your in pain but like Dawn says you can get any excess skin removed with your hernia surgery.
Not that you problaey have much but.
You know and old computer is better than none right lol

You wouldn't believe the skin I have there. My mom says I hide it well But I would venture to say about 5 pounds worth.. Yuck. Cross your fingers that if it is they would cover it. My appt is at 145. so we could do at lunch at noon, I was thinking. Sabreena I got your number.

I'm sorry you're having to go through this. I hope they can fix you up real quick. Does Dr. Mattar's office know that you suspect a hernia? They might would want you to have a CT scan to confirm that. Also..they know about the pain, right? What can make a hernia painful is if the intestines get snagged up on the tissue/abominal wall opening around it. Sometimes, they can wiggle themself out of this (and wiggle themselves back into it) but other times, it can cut off the blood supply to the intestines. Then, you have bigger problems than just a hernia. If you continue hurting, please go to the ER to have it checked out.
