RE: Update on Carole Dale in ICU

Hello,

I have great news.  I saw Carole yesterday.  When I walked in she was sitting up in her bed smiling at me and she said, "Hi Kathy."  She was drinking her fluids out of a sippy cup and watching TV.  She has been eating very small portions of food such as cottage cheese, peaches, custard, and yogurt.  She is also drinking protein shakes.

She has the pink color back in her cheeks and that sparkle in her eyes.  She still has the trach but it was wonderful to hear her talking to me, smiling, and laughing.  She is still on dialysis but not everyday anymore.  The only IV she is receiving is what I call the white milk shake.  LOL

She is recovering well from her complications after her setbacks.  God is so, so good and Carole, her daughter, Elizabeth, and I thank all of you for your prayers.

They hope to get her up on the side of the bed today and possible into a chair.
Elizabeth still has not left her side and is camping out in the ICU lounge.  Last night she went to the bariatric support group meeting with me there and visited a few new post-op patients on 2nd floor.  She said that really helped her.

Carole is a very strong willed Christian women and she is fighting this every baby step of the way.

Someone requested her address to send cards

Blessings!

Hi Lisa,

Look back on my previous post dated March 2 that is titled Prayer Request.  It is rather lengthy so I don't want to take up space here again.  Thanks for your prayers for Carole.  And everyone else's prayers and concerns for her too.

Hugs,
Kathy
