Tuesday...

Good morning everyone!

I think it is fantastic that Lyn is getting better! And it's terrific that Mikey has been moved to the rehab so his healing can progress quicker! And add to that Lisa being home & doing well!!!! Yes, this has been a very good past 24 hours on here! I am so thrilled that all of this healing & improvements are going on!

I also think it's great that we have reached 100 to come to the bowling fund raiser. That is terrific Dawn. It's a real statement of all of your hard work & effort. If there's anything more I can do than just keep the tally of who is coming & how many bowlers/maybe/non-bowlers there are, let me know...ok?

No one has contacted me about going to Lincoln Square after the bowling on the 15th. You are all welcome to, but I like to give them a head's up if there's going to be a crowd so they can plan their waitress needs accordingly. Either way, Bill & I will be going. I'm going to invite Tiff, Shellie & families to come along as well. We take off the next day so it'll be good to relax and have dinner. I plan to have everything all packed to go before we head out the door to the bowling alley since we have to be at the airport ~7am.

I hope you all have a good day...and I hope to see more & more posts of the wonderful hand of God healing people! That is especially encouraging for me with the 17th coming up.

Hi Friends,

I was up at 5am this morning. Actually 4:30, but I tried to sleep for another half hour. I have been running laundry through to try to get it caught up. I keep coming across a tiny pair of jeans, or a pair of 'princess' underwear, and think this can't be real. I'm still washing little  girl clothes.

I feel like I've been eating constantly since the 21st. Comforting myself. I am up to 149. Not a huge gain, but I am going to star****ching better. Maggie wouldn't want me to go back to my old self. She was the first person in my entire life to ever have called me skinny. She didn't remember her fat mommy. She was actually proud of her skinny mommy. She would tell her Gramma that her and mommy were skinny.

Praise the Lord for all the healing miracles! The Lord is Good, and he knows those in need! Keep praying! 

I wish we could make the fundraiser and meal afterward, but I do have to work.  It sounds like so much fun, but that just isn't going to happen for us.  Thanks to all those planning the event!

Busy morning already.  Trying to get the girls up and ready for school today.  Neither wanted to get up at all.  Go figure.  They are doing ISTEP this week, so that just bores everyone!  Oh well, its gotta be done!

Going thru my closet today and gathering up a bunch of clothes that I no longer need.  I will be setting some aside for the clothing exchange, and also another bag for Gail.  Fun, fun, fun!

Later on this afternoon, I will be checking in on Lee Ann.  Special prayers going out to her this morning, as she has surgery.  I am going to try to go visit her later this evening, since she will only be in overnight. Once I get to talk to either her or Dale, I will post an update.

Good Morning to all

I am at work this morning getting ready to start, busy day since we just close month end yesterday and have numerous charges and adjustments to do today.

It was great to see Terry and Lyn yesterday.  Like Tracy posted that he was looking around at us when we would speak, and he eyes (gorgeous big brown eyes) were alert.  They would sparkle when he would see or hear Terry voice or touch. 

We had a good visit with my sister yesterday, and after dropping Tracy off, I went to the YMCA.  My body is hurting this morning, it was hard to get a treadmill so I did 160 leg presses (130lbs a piece) and extra crunches, etc.  I will go back tonight to work out this soreness.

I spoke with Dr Huse yesterday about a revisement of my RNY and I go to St V's on Saturday morning at 7:45 am for my upper GI. I see Dr Huse again the first part of April and we will go from there what else I will need to do.  He told me that my diabetes is should be enough to get me through the medical necessity for the insurance. 

I better get off here and get my day started, everyone have a blessed Tuesday.

Good morning all.

I am so glad to see Sherri's post this morning and to remind all of us that the power of prayer is amazing and God is good to us.  He certainly has been blessing us with his healing touch for those in need right now. 

I am trying to do some spring projects around the house today.  I need some busy work to keep my mind off things today.  I have some issues with my daughter Jessi that just are weighing on my heart.

I got to meet Stella, Peggy's sister yesterday.  That was so uplifting.  I wish Terry could meet her.  Stella basically went thru the exact same path that Lyn is on right now minus the WLS.  I was just encouraged to think that she fought her way back and Lyn is doing that too.  It can be done!

I am praying for Lee Ann today.  I will look forward to updates from LaChelle.

Good Morning everyone....

Hope everyone is having a pleasant day! I am being lazy today...lol...the kids are gettin ready for school...ISTEP for us too....I am very excited too with all the healing on the boards...You all are truly amazing...the way Ohers pull together....it just makes my heart happy...Nothing planned for the day....kinda tired....hoping to get some energy my way to get a few things done....Just wanted to thank you all for being so wonderful to me....Have a great day...

I'm so glad everyone is doing better. Linda as hard as it is donating the clothes to lighthouse mission or somewhere will make you feel better. Its just getting through the constant memories. I intend to tell one joke everyday on this forum to make you and others laugh. This is my promise... to make you come on here everyday and say, "Ok, what joke will there be today?" I will go on a search for a good one now and post it soon.

Hi everybody! 

Took the day off work - had an eye doctor appt at 8 AM to check on the "floater" I developed in my right eye that is big enough to have its own zip code.  He had to dilate my eyes for the exam, and since I have artificial lens implants, it takes about 6 hours for my pupils to go back to normal - OUCH!

I have a small hemorrhage in my right eye due to the exam - a refractive mirror lens had to be put on my right eye for the exam, and it is so sore - the numbing drops wore off.  This doggone floater is so large, that when I look out of the corner of my eye, I think it is a mouse or a big bug running across the floor.  Anyway, bottom line is that it is a tuft of vitreous that has bulged out.  Not really anything they can do for it unless I want to undergo a vitrectomy.  No thank you - I can't imagine having all the gel removed from the eyeball!!!  I trust this eye surgeon - he did both my cataract surgeries, plus he's young, and some nice eye candy.  You know me - I always like to look at eye candy.

I owe the girls at his office new monitors for their computers.  Just call me Miss SmartAss.  The nurse finishes my review of systems and symptoms and I ask her to have my husband come in.  She says sure - "I'm looking for Mr. Smith, right?"   I tell her yes, unless she happens to see Brad Pitt waiting in the reception room - then send HIM in instead.  They were all howling, and I owe them new computer monitors.
