Pre-Op Testing at St. V's
Hi Kat,
I am so sorry we did not run into each other...I was looking at every blonde...wonder what they were thinking about me?
I got all my tests completed except the Breathtek...I took prilosec. No one said anything to me about it. I wonder if I need to call them and schedule it before my surgery on 3/24.
Do you work at St. Vincent's or were you there visiting????
Curious minds want to know.
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
No I don't work at St. Vincent's but I guess you could call me a volunteer there.
I am a certified Bariatric Buddy and I do have my very own St. V's polo shirt that allows me access to different area's of the hospital.
I also do bariatric mentoring and I love visiting patients there whatever their cir****tances are and giving them hugs, support, and compassion. Pre-op, consult, surgery day, test day, complications, you name it. Many times God leads me to where I need to be and when. He works in mysterious ways. Also the nursing staff, Chaplain Landry, or word of mouth.
Once I started doing it, I was hooked.
I live 40 minutes away but it is always worth my time. And I love meeting new people and making new friends. I'm not always good at remembering names and with bariatric patients it is even harder because their body images change so rapidly I don't recognize them.
Which is a good thing! I have been there and done that! I can't wait to see Christie, I haven't seen her since she left the hospital.
hugs to you,
Kathy
