Finally got my date

I finally got my date it is set for April the 6th. I went to the support group meeting in TH and they were so nice to me and my hubby. I am all excited and scared all at once it is a load of emoitions. I just sit there and think OMG I am really going to get this done...

The down side is my hubby may have to have surgery for his back again and he is off till he sees the neurosurgeon. So I told he we will be off together lol.
 

Congradulations on your date. That makes it so real and exciting. I am still waiting. How long did it take you to find out you were approved. My dght will go to the initial meeting with her surgeon in March

I started this all in Nov. the insurance I carry on me had issues and I am going through my hubbys I am dropping the one I have. After I got all of the paperwork to Amy it was about 2 weeks, the another week and a half to get the date. Had to have Insurance refax the paperwork to them. So by the time I am done about 5 months.

Congradulations!  I go just a week ahead of you, March 24th  It is a very exciting and scary time!

I started my quest in August hoping to have surgery at the end of 2008.  If it were not for my doctor and my surgeon's office jacking me around, I would have made it.

After I got everything I needed it took the insurance company less than a week to approve me.  I was so pissed.  I had met deductible and stop loss and my insurance would have paid at 100% (I had arthroscopic knee surgery on both knees in July that allowed me to meet the stop loss), now it is going to cost $2000.  I guess that is a small price to pay for a new life.

congrats on this exciting time for you.  I just had my surgery on Feb 16th.  Once the date came, now I can't believe it is over and it's been 2 weeks.  You have a lot in front of you, so just relax and know that you are doing this for a very good reason.  You're worth taking care of yourself.  Be blessed and enjoy the journey.
