I am still waiting for a decision from my insurance. It has been three weeks today since I have started this journey. Lord give me patience and I want it right now! I would love to go to the Chicago conference. I am off work on those dates, but am afraid I would be the only one there still waiting on word from my insurance! lol

Take a patience pill, I know they are hard to swallow ha-ha, I haven't much patience myself but, it will happen. Put all of your positive energy into it and force that positive outcome. Have you ever read The Secret? Or seen the movie? It is life altering. It focuses on the power of positive energy. Anyway, I will focus all of my energy for you and wish that you hear something soon. It took a few weeks for me too but, actually I think it was only 3 weeks. They first came back with a "NO" but, we appealed with a letter from my doc and that did the trick.
Keep the faith sister!!
Be Well  : )

I have called my insurance three times. I then e-mail the information to Amy. It seems they don't talk to each other. I am sure Amy is overwhelmed. My papers were sent, but not all of them. I plan on weekly contact for Amy and the insurance company. I shall perservere.

Thanks! for the words of encouragement. I think I will go to the Chicago event. My daughter plans to start the process for wt loss surgery  March 9th. She works for St. Vincent and has their insurance. The Chicago thing sounds like fun and a chance to meet all you terrific people. Have a great day.

Thats the right attitude to have!  Keep on them and keep calling.  The sqeaky wheel gets the grease!

It took my process about 8 weeks total... 6 weeks after they got all the paperwork.  So dont give up!

You would be welcome in Chicago for sure!  OH is for everyone...not just post ops.  So jump in there and have a great time.  It would be a valuable experience for a pre-op patient as well.

Huge hugs,
Tracy
