Monday 030209 is my visit to the Psychologist. I am sort of apprehensive as to what will be asked. I know ive been told to be myself.  Please pray for me that things will go well and that approval will come from the visit so that information can be forwarded to my surgeon and get this ball to rolling!

Hang in there sweetie and just be honest and yourself. They really are there to help you and not to keep you from this. Some people have more progblems with food than others and need a little extra help so this is to help see if you need any extra. It will be fine and all things happen inf God's timing.
Hugs!

lol  I thnik of it as a basketball game and the coach has called time out with a player ready to shoot the winning basket with 2 seconds to go in the game. Giving one time to think more about it. I know its not to discourage  but i guess i am as my mother used to say "Getting my bowels in an uproar for nothing!" Thanks for the encouragement.

Good Attitude!! :-) After all ...if they find you do need a little more help in a certain area it is best to fix it to be even more successful with your surgery. After all...if you go to get an oil change in your car for a long trip and the mechanic says your oil is changed but your transmission is leaking.....my guess is it won't make it far on a long trip till your get the tranny fixed too!  lol It is about tuning you up to be the most successful you can be in this journey. So go ahead and let them look under your hood and take the "professionals" recommendation. I have always been an open book when talking about myself so it wasn't too hard on me...I think he was really kinda amazed at all I had been thru that I was still smiling! lol
You will be fine! Let us know how the "oil change" comes out!
Hugs!

The psych eval is not a test to see if your nuts..if it were I would have never been able to have surgery.  Its an evaluation to see if you understand the changes surgery will bring.  Some of the questions will be...
Have you researched the surgery?
Do you understand that surgery is a tool?
Do you have a support system?
How does your spouse feel about your surgery?
Have you dieted in the past?
Why did those diets fail?

Basically thats it in a nutshell.  Relax you will be fine, the worst thing that would ever happen at a psych exam is the phsychiatrist would recommend you take in a few support groups, which your surgeon will more than likely have you doing anyway.

Oh Lord!! I read this title and thought 'Well, shoot! I'm gonna be in BIG trouble come Monday then, ain't I?????!?!?!?'!

It's just been one of those weeks, you know? I just haven't known if I should laugh, cry, be proud, be embarassed, be strong, fall apart, or just say the heck with it (which...I'm doing today since I don't feel good!). So....I REALLY don't need a national holiday for our phych status! LOL!

And if I could pass the test with the many stressors in my life, you will do fine!!!!
