Hello, friends. We got into Terre Haute at about 10pm last night. We intended to just sleep until morning, and then start what we have to do for today. We got a call finally from my sister. She was at a retreat in California, in the woods. She did not know yet.

My sister, Michelle, asked first how Mikey was doing. I assumed she got a message, and was asking about him first, because there was some hope. I explained his condition. She asked if I was alone. I said no, Mike was in bed. Then she was confused. I explained he was ok. She sounded so hopeful. She said the message was wrong. I asked her to tell me what the message was. They told her the wrong information, that Mikey was in the hospital and Mike had died. I felt my stomach fall, and ask, "So you don't know about Maggie?" She didn't have any idea. Oh Lord. It was hard to tell her and hear her wailing from so far away. She's working on getting here.

Today we're making arrangements and telling people and such. I love you all so much.

Linda, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.  I have the next couple days off, and I can be there in a matter of hours.  Please just let me know. It is in times like these that you need all the extra love and support around you.  We are all here for you. We can't stress it enough.

Linda, I can't imagine how hard this must be.  Know we all love you, and our love will surround you in the days and weeks to come.  We're all here for you.

Linda, my heart goes out to you and Mike. No one deserves the last ten years that you two have had. How is Mikey doing at this point? Dawn told me about them removing the glass. Is he still in ICU or has he been upgraded into a regular room? Many of your family here on the board plan to come to Terre Haute for the services. We want you to know that we are here for you...even after everyone has gone home. You never have to feel like you are bearing this pain by yourself...ok?

I plan to check into PayPal tonight after I get home & figure out how to set up an account for Maggie. I thought that would be a good way for people across the state (and beyond) to be able to donate. I'm quite sure that Linda & Mike could use some assistance with the financial end of it. I'll post the information for it as soon as I get it set up. Dawn & I had talked about fundraisers as well. How does a bowl-a-thon sound? A nickle a pin maybe...? Dawn..would there be room at Hindal's for us to set up a table for a sugar-free bake sale? Or perhaps for our next clothing 'exchange'..think we could donate say a quarter an item for what we take? The rest will still be given to Robin's church..and the donation would be one time only. Send me your feedback on it...ok? Robin...we could just set up a  coffee can or something and trust everyone to put into the can for their items. If anyone else has any ideas, please send them Dawn or I...especially if there is any way that we could assist in getting it set up or getting the word out. I just feel like the money would be more useful than several floral arrangements.

Well..I'm at work..physically. My mind sure isn't. It is in so many places right now. It is with Linda. It is with Terry. And it is with all of my friends here on OH.  Not much else seems that important this morning...

Is there an address where I can mail thing overnight Fed ex to her at Riley???Clothes, protein and the like.  I dont have any days off where I can drive there but Im willing to get her some new sweats and shirts and mail them to her.

Linda and Mike came home last night so they are back to where they can get to their clothing. While they were here in Indy, they were needing a change of clothes since they were wearing the same things they had on for the accident. Dawn ran some to them as well as other personal maintenance items to them the other day. I don't know what Linda's plans are as far as transporting back & forth to Riley..but I'm sure gas cards would probably come in handy at this time. Linda's home address should be on the directory.

OPPS>..guess I didnt read all of this...sorry.  My eyes are so bad this small type makes it really hard for me lately. 

Is there a way I can increase everyones font.  I know I can increase mine..but its everyone elses I need help with.  I dont have to see what Im typing most of the time.???

 

Im hoping to have my eye surgery ...if I can afford it in the next two months...

Other than copy/pasting the posts in to Word and then adjusting the font to read it, I don't know of any other way. Maybe you should drop OH a note and ask them if they could work on that capability for a future revision.

ps...btw...whatever font you are using on here looks to be the same size as the one I use..which..I just use the default one most of the time.

I may have to drop them a request...or figure out how I can make my computer make it bigger.  Im sure some techy could tell me how to do it.... 

It is the default setting...I just cant see it.  Im having alot of problems with my eyes and when I make the font on mine big enough I can read it....it would drive everyone else totally crazy if I typed like this for to long.  So I guess I'll just get eye surgery so I can go back to this and keep u all from thinking Im yelling!!!!

Lord Jesus, wrap Your loving arms around this family, give them Your strength, Your peace, the comfort of Your Holy Spirit to surround them and protect them during this time of trial.  We know that Maggie and Lucy are safe in Your arms Father God. No more tears or pain.  You trusted Linda and Mike with these little ones for a short while, now help them to trust in You as they struggle to understand and deal with their grief.
