Happy Saturday Morning

Happy Saturday morning to all!  At least I think it’s a happy day, I’ll make it one.  Glad we didn’t get the snow last night, hopefully it won’t appear today at all.  I’m so ready for spring and summer.

 

At work today and probably will be for a while.  Found out yesterday that we have 3000 tax cases that need corrections before April 15^th.  Job security I suppose and that’s good for me.  Haven’t heard anymore on Nan’s condition.  I know it was devastating to Noel and the girls because she was doing so well at Manor Care with her physical therapy.  Was sitting up in a wheel chair, moving her arms and legs, not able to walk yet or sit on her own for very long, but still considering she was not able to do anything but blink and speak a few words last July, it’s great.

 

For a lark I applied for a position back in Arizona.  It would be a promotion with double my salary in two years.  I found out yesterday that my name has been referred for the job.  I don’t expect to be the one selected for it, but have started wondering if it’s something I really should do if the job is offered to me.  I moved back here after my husband died to be with the kids and have really enjoyed the last few years with them and other family members who live in Indiana.  I’ve made some really good friends, found a good church and church family.  My son went in to debt to remodel his home to build me an apartment (which I still expect to pay the rent on).   I have been told several times that the reason I moved back was to be with family, why would I leave again?  There have been so many positive changes in my kid’s lives since I have moved back, would it continue?   I am just plagued by doubt.  Sorry to be so long, I just needed to put it in writing and hope for some words of wisdom from my OH family.  What do you think?

Hi Everyone

Hope that you all have a great weekend.  I have been MIA lately due to some health issues that I am having.  Know that I am thinking of all of you and you all are always in my heart and my prayers.

Julie... what a dilemma.  There is something about Arizona that is pulling at you. Is it the time there with your Husband?  Being here with your family is important.  But if there is something that is pulling you in the direction of Arizona, look inside you to try and figure out what it is.  You will find your answer there. 

I hope the weather warms up soon. I just can never seem to get warm enough.

Hey all,... good morning. I have been up about a half hour... piddling around by myself on the computer while everyone else is sleeping. Today is my mother's birthday. She is 62. I know she wishes she could take early retirement, but she needs her health insurance, due to a chronic illness. Yesterday was my MIL's birthday. She is now 63. We went out to Lonestar in Terre Haute to celebrate her birthday.

Julie.... That would be a hard choice. I don't know about your part of the state. The cost of living is really reasonable where I am. Would the increase in wages be worth it for a place like Arizona? Just wondering.

Good morning all!

I am watching it snow and I am NOT a happy camper!  I have spring fever so bad!  I am going to focus on finding some things to do with the kids today that will make this cold weather go away.  I am thinking positive happy thoughts!

I am struggling with some emotional issues lately that have to do with personal things in my life so if you get a chance to just say a quick prayer for me, I would appreciate it.  I don't want to whine about it to you all.  It's not a huge deal compared to what others are struggling with.  But I just need a boost.

I woke up with alot of prayer concerns on my heart this morning so will probably spend extra time in prayers today.  Please know I adore all of you and will pray for my entire OH family!  Feel free to email me if you have any personal prayer requests you want to share with me in private.  I get them often and feel honored to take them to God for you.

I hope everyone stays safe and warm today and enjoys time with family and friends this weekend.

Tracy - I would love to come but I'm hanging with my girlfriend from work tonight.  We decided to go watch the band play for a little bit and get our groove on  we'll be The people watching will be but *****ally cares what they think?  I'd love a raincheck though!!

Kim - girl you don't need an invite just go on over there and since you're going to have a "be good to Kim day" you have my permission to go in you jammies too! 

Sherri really did sleep in today!  I'm so proud of you!

Julie - I know you moved back here to be with family but there is something calling you to Arizona - Just because you WANT to be here doesn't mean God does.  Use the job offer to 'help' with the decision (for now) if you get the offer its meant to be - if not - the timing is off for a move now.  Rest assured if AZ is in your future you'll get there just on God's time and not yours.  Let's face it - I'm not patient - most of us aren't.  We want that instant gratification.  God has his own time clock!

Good morning everyone
Its starting to snow here,but ive got family errands to run so gotta go out anyways.
Neil gets his teeth cut out Monday thats been causing him problems,so he is happy.We have friends and family coming by this evening and tomorrow so im fixing chili tonight and veggie soup tomorrow.
I ran into a girl who i went to high school with 28 yrs ago(she is still drop dead gourgeus)and she told me my looks hadnt change since high school,i felt like i won the lottery it felt so good.
Jules my hubbys family is from arizona thats where he wants to move to,i agree with Leah your memories with your husband are probaley whats acalling you back there,but hoonestly i couldnt leave my children i would either have to take them with me or stay here with them.

Getting ready to head to Westfeild...regionals today! I am so pumped up!  The girls do not compete til 3:30 but I am going early to get a room ad stay up there afterwards. A night by myself with no whining or fighting kids...Dale included! My fever finally broke last night..Thank God!
I feel alot better today! But we are suppose to get bad weather so I am not driving back after a long day at the competition. This way I can also go to church with Lynn (my sis) in the am. I love their church! they have a rock band and have a contempory service that we go to...Actaully they hold 3 services in the am and two at night...thats how big this place is!

Good morning all!

I slept in a little bit today. That felt great! Bill & I will be taking off soon. We have to run to St. V's Carmel and Community East to pick up radiology CD's to add to the 'Mayo packet'.  I think we have a few more stops to make while we're out & about. After that, I'm hoping to come home and get lazy...and catch up on my LOST & Hero episodes! I think I'm 2 weeks behind on each! Bill isn't in to either one but will pop in the livingroom now & then & ask a question about Jack or Sawyer..and I thinking 'watch it if you want to know!'. LOL! No, I do not say that to him!! I answer the question while trying not to lose my place in the story.

Julie..when I retire, we are wanting to relocate to the southwest. Arizona would work just fine to me. I figure the kids will probably follow us there...and if they don't, we'll come to Indy during the summer to visit or fly them out to see us. I just know that I can't handle this cold and I'm looking forward to the day when I won't have to. If I were in your boat though, I'd take the job and with the extra income, I would try to help my son out for that remodeling debt. Well..unless he rents it out & is able to recoup it that way. But...if the job happened, and my heart was in Arizona...that is where I would be as well. You still have family & friends to visit here and a wonderful church to attend when you come to Indiana to visit...but go with your heart....
