Thursday..
Bill's surgery went well yesterday. Well..as far as we know anyway. They put gauze & a sheild over his eye so he can't see anything. Since he's totally blind in the other eye, he is truly in the dark right now. He gets the sheild off at 7 this morning. It usually takes about 2 weeks for his vision to clear to it's best after a cornea transplant. I think it took about that long with his first artificial cornea so it probably will with this one too. Today though, it should be at least as good, if not better, than it was before surgery yesterday.
Just as we were walking in the door yesterday, I got a call from the Mayo Clinic. I am to check-in at 6:35 the morning of March 17th. Yep....St. Patty's day. Let's hope that means I'll have the luck of the Irish with me. I should be getting a packet in the mail soon with all the info that I need to know. I never dreamed they'd be able to get me in so soon...so I'm excited & nervous both.
I have a personal situation that I could use some prayer for. God knows the situation...and he knows the hearts of all involved..so just please pray for us that this is resolved in a manner that doesn't hurt those who doesn't deserve getting hurt anymore than they already have.
Well..I better get dressed so we can head to Dr. Price's office. You all have a good & safe day with that snow out there!
Huggs!

Sherri, so glad to hear that the Mayo clinic will be able to get you in quickly. Maybe now they will figure something out for you! Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Prayers going out for the unspoken need.
Not much going on for me today, just heading back to work....oh well! Jimmy said that he would call me later today after his phone conversation with the director of Hoosier Uplands. He is also supposed to hear back from the superintendants office later this morning as well, so hopefully we will get some good info.
Take it easy today. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad today. I am so ready for spring to get here!
Take care and have a great day all!
You only have one life to live, but if lived right, it's the only one you need!
Good morning all!
Sherri so glad Bill's surgery went well. How exciting about the quick appointment at Mayo. Hopefully they will find the problems and provide the answers so you are really on the road to complete health.
I get a change from spreadsheets at work today. Instead I have to go back and get the numbers on what I've been working on. Total number of payments, dollar amounts, hours to process. There's a problem in the process but it has to be cost effective for them to write a program change to fix it. A minimum of 1.5 million dollars, so they need the other info to see if it's worth it. It will be a spreadsheet, just a different kind.
Everyone be safe, stay warm, blessings to all.

Good morning all!
I am heading out to Indy today for my 9 month checkup!
I am excited to be going. I will be having lunch with a few people who emailed me and then off to see Dr. Gupta. I am hoping to get my "100 lbs. lost" t-shirt this trip since last time I was just short of it.
My PCP appt yesterday went well. I was down 71 lbs in the past 6 months! His nurses flipped when they saw me. My PCP is also my sunday school teacher so he sees me all the time but he did tell me last Sunday that I look great! It made me feel so good.
My personal trainer met with me yesterday. She is doing it as a favor for me now. She wants to see me all the way thru the process to my goal and is just the sweetest thing ever! I adore her.
My measurements and weight had not been done by her since Oct. 22. So the results were good to hear because I kinda lost track of the whole thing. Down 34 lbs. and 25 inches since then!!! I was pretty excited.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Huge hugs,
Tracy
The good news for the week is that our tax refund should be deposited tomorrow. That means we can get some badly needed car repairs. We'll be able to plug along a while longer.
I am so sorry for your loss.. my heart aches for you!!! While I do not know what you are going thru I am a mother and know it would be impossible to forget the young men in my life...
Remembering that she is in a better place and that you will see her again I am sure doesnt help much while you are remembering all the events that led up to it.. but maybe our remembering is part of our healing..
May God wrap his arms around you and give you sweet peace.

Hi Everyone,
It's another day with the nose to the grindstone. I am so glad the sun is shining. It is so much easier to do things with the sunshine. Today I am getting materials to begin groups again next week. It's takes so much preparation. But I love working with the kids. They make it all worth it.
Sherri-I am so glad Bill's surgery went well. I hope his sight clears and all goes well. Congratulations on your quick response from Mayo. Hopefully they can figure you out.
LaChelle-I hope you get good news.
Julie-I hope you are more accurate than me. When I start transferring numbers from one place to another, I have to really pay attention to what I am doing.
Tracy-We will chat in a little while at lunch.
Linda-I am so sorry for your loss. You know through experience. It will always hurt when we are reminded of our lost loved ones, but it changes as time passes.
Nancy-I am really glad you got home safely. Be careful out there.
Kim-I hope your daughter gets to feeling better soon. Our school nurse said last week while I was out, she sent kids home all week. She said I picked a good week to be out. We will miss you at lunch. I am sure there will be other times for us to get together.
It's cold outside. So everyone enjoy the sunshine from inside. It is beautiful out there.
