I had always heard the 4 - 6 month out from surgery time was the worst for hair loss.  In my case that was very very true as if they wrote the textbook on my surgery and hair loss.  Right at three months after surgery my hair was falling out faster than I could pull it out of the bathtub drains.  When I would wash my hair the loose hairs would be stuck between all my fingers.  Then it was if someone flipped a switch one day and shut it off at about five months out.  Now I seldom see a stray hair, no more so than before surgery.  I think most of us suffer TEMPORARY hairloss no matter what vitamins, protiens or biotin we are taking, its just part of the process.  One thing I do still have though is the corse texture to my hair, this started along with the hair falling out.  I can't have my hair highlighted like I like to keep it because my beautician said it would really make the corse hair show and I would be right back in the shop asking her to color it back so why waste the money.  I am hoping this improves ..as of now it has not.

I think it's pretty common. I've always been careful about getting my protein in, but my hair did get thinner there for a while. It's getting better now, though. If it happens, don't worry about it! It'll come back.
