Good morning everyone.  Getting ready to hop in the shower and start my day.  I have errands to run, housework to do, got to pick up a computer that isn't working at my daughter's house, bring it home, and run the recovery disks.  They moved it, and I think it messed up a couple lines of the registry.

I haven't been sleeping well lately - I think I have my yearly Spring sinus infection.  I've had sinus headaches all week.  Bleah.

Anyway, on a brighter note:  I am down 53.6 pounds as of this morning!  Yahoo!  Tomorrow is my 10 week surgiversary.  It still amazes me when I look in the mirror.  I can't wait until I hit Onederland.  It'll be awhile yet though, darn it.  Maybe by late summer?

At least no hanging skin around my neck.  I was worried about that.  Hanging skin elsewhere I can hide, but I can't wear turtlenecks in the summer!

Any way, everyone have a great day today!

Good Morning everyone!  Tonight I'm going to my first Dinner by Design Cooking Class at 106th & Michigan Rd. that St. V's dietitians reccommend.

Are any of you going to be there or have you went before?

They are also going to do a presentation at Kokomo's support group meeting this Wednesday night at 7 - 8:30PM. if any of you can make it.

Have a good Monday.

I went to one a couple of months ago.  It was great.  Went in registered put together some recipes, had some yummy samples AND got to bring a meal home for the freezer!  Most of all it was FUN!!

Thanks Frankie.  I'm always  upfor some new cooking idea's.  Especially the one's that are not time consuming. I like things quick and easy!

I am always open to try new things.  Wow how things have changed after my WLS.  Before my surgery I never would have dreamed that I would not only be eating, but "choosing to eat" and enjoying to eat spinach, asparagus, mango's, kiwi, grilled and not fried food. just a name a few.   I don't know about you guys but I rarely ate those things until after WLS and now I love to eat them.  It just goes to show you that we eat what we are taught to eat as children and what our parents cooked for us.  But I am a great testament that people can change and habits can be changed too.  I'm not perfect, but I thank God that I am not where I use to be.

Who would have thought that I would be in a restaurant ordering food and making sure that the chefs don't use butter when they prepare my food.  I think butter is the most over used item in all restaurants.  That's how they make everything taste so darn good, but to me food drowned in butter  doesn't even taste good to me anymore.  Nor does fried food.

Looking forward to more new tips tonight.

Kathy

Hi Everyone,
I am still alive, just aching like crazy. I worked 45.66 hrs. in 3 days, for Valentines & my body is telling me. I slept threw most of the day yesturday & am running slow today.

We are going to Indy today-Dr. for me, & to see my SIL. Things aren't looking very good for her. I really appreciate prayers for her/them.Their daughters want her to keep on the chemo, even though it has ravaged her body & she is exhasted. They are testing to see if it is in her stomach/intestines now. She has stage 4 ovarian cancer.
I hope to catch up with everyone/thing this week. I hate it when I have to be off here, but you gotta make those friends & lovers happy- hee-hee! I had one situation I refused to do- I knew the guy who was sending the flowers & why, so I wouldn't do them. I told the girls that when she called( and she did) I didn't want to lie to her. (He didn't send a card, just still stalks her .After a disasterous marriage and taking her for everything she & her parents had, it has caused her* her children so much hurt).
Off to get ready, I am praying for everyone that requests, and miss you all.
Love.
Ellen
