Lyn update
Twice last night and a few times today I have noticed his feet moving. At first I thought it was the Dr's "reflexes" but I am beginning to think they are really moving. It is not anything purposeful though but they are moving. I try to work with him while he has his eyes open and talk about things going on trying to find something to stimulate his brain.
That really is the only thing I have seen so far.
I went down to the chapel here for awhile today and had a long talk with God. I am doing pretty good but find myself sometimes getting impatient and doubtful as I just sit day by day waiting for a sign or improvement..
I may go home for part of a day sometime this week. I have been here 19 days now and really need to get home to get some pills and other clothes. I have been washing clothes but just have 4 diffferent outfits with me so it will be nice to wear something else.
Thanks again for your prayers and encouragement. Terry
I'm glad to see your post. I think of you and Lyn daily. The two of you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm glad you are taking care of yourself spiritually as well as physically.
Perhaps when you go home for your necessities, if Lyn had a favorite book, you could bring that back to read to him? Just a thought.
Take care of yourself. We're all thinking of you.

Huge hugs to you!
Tracy
I am so glad that you'll be able to post more now. It'll be good to see your smiling face on here more often.
How are you doing with your journal? I think I'd be using it to write to Lyn each day so that when he comes out of it all that he'd understand more of where those days went.
Keep in touch. Let us all know if there's anything we can do..

Terry:
I am mostly a 'lurker' on here but I wanted to let you know that I am (as well as my husband) praying for you and for Lyn every day. I can't even begin to know what you are going through! I've also had our prayer group at church praying for you both.
The Lord is all-knowing! To everything there is a reason and a season. Please take comfort in that promise! I am posting a story that I recently received via e-mail that applies:
Malachi 3:3 says: 'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver...
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver.
As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time.
The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?'
He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.'
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.
Pass this on right now. This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them. And, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.
I'll continue to keep you both in my prayers. Realize that God IS with you through this journey....you are not alone!
Many blessings,
Lois K.
You dont know me but I was reading about your hubby and I have been keeping him in prayer. Dont give up hope. My mother was in ICU 82 days in coma, and came out of it and spent another 2 months in rehab but she is 74 years old and we thank the good lord everyday for bringing her back to us.
