Hello and Howdy

Hello Everyone,
  My name is Michelle and I am from Ft. Wayne, and am considering having the Lap Band procedure done at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.  I am a stay at home mother of 2 children, a boy who is 4 years old, and a daughter who is 11 months old.  After reading some of your posts I am touched at how wonderful and thoughtful you all are to each other.  I go tomorrow for my first informational session and am anxious, I hope the whole process does not take forever, although I am prepared.  I have done a lot of research on my own and feel this is the best option for me.  I have been heavy since puberty and had a hard time getting pregnant with my daughter because of the weight.  I am the heaviest I have ever been and am miserable (225#, after losing 7# w/ WW, and of course I have tried them all over the years).  I had Gestational Diabetes with Isabel and am pretty sure I was with Ethan (my first).  He ended up in the NICU after birth with low blood sugars and was there for 4 days.  I am ready to be healthy for me and my family and am excited to have stumbled upon you forum.  Thanks for letting me tell it like it is for me.

Welcome to the Indiana fourm Michelle.  The road to surgery can seem long and daunting but try and be patient as it will all be worth the wait in no time.  I hope you have a quick and easy approval process.  Feel free to ask any questions you may think of we want you to be armed with all the information your brain will hold so that you can have a successful jouney.

Hi Michelle!!  Welcome! Girl you have your hands full with a 4 yr old and an 11 month old!! 
This journey will be so rewarding for you.  Your children will thank you for it!  My kids are 19 and 17.  They don't even know me being thinner.  They only know their fat momma!!  Sure they saw pics of my as a child and teen.  But nothing like in person.
