Monday..

Good morning all...

I've been at work since 4:30. It'd be nice to kick this day out quick. I woke up at 12:30, 2, and 3. At 3, I decided to just stay up since the alarm is set for 3:30. My worst nights are the ones that I roll onto my side during the night. That seems to get my bowels working! Anyhow, that is why I got to work a half hour early.

Yesterday, I was able to talk with Terry (see my post about Lyn), Gail (doing better but still sore), and Ellen (always a pleasure!). I had to leave a message for Brenda & Floyd though. Brenda is suppose to return to work today so I wanted to wish her good luck.

I talked with Tiffany yesterday. She sounded like she was feeling better. I didn't go over there since my tummy was having another poofy day but it was good to hear her sounding more 'normal'.

Well..I best get busy and try to stay awake while at the computer!

Good Morning Fellow OHer's.

It's surgery day for me.  I have to be at the Indiana Surgery Center close to Clarian North at 10:00.  I'm hoping the surgeon has sure hands and everything they are doing can be done.  I am having a D&C, Hysteroscopy, Endometrial Ablation, Fibroid Cyst and Virus Removal, and Tubal Ligation.  Between the surgeon and myself it became quite a list.

Sherry-I hope you can stay awake.  It's difficult when you can't stay asleep.

You're in my thoughts & prayers today. now see, if it had been me, I would had talked them into a hysterectomy instead so I would have known I would never have another period. LOL! Oh..that is exactly what I did do back in 2003 and I have never ever regretted it. Good luck today & I hope you heal quickly and that these procedures takes care of all of your problems. Wow..no overnight stay???

Sherri, how is your tummy doing?  Have they determined what is going on? I have missed so much, I may have not seen any posts on the outcome.

Not much going on for me today.  Taking the girls newest addition, Bowser, to the vet to have him declawed and neutered.  He is sitting in the carrier now just staring at me wondering why he is being punished.  Crazy cat!

Then it is off to the doctor with Molly.  We are having to meet with them in regards to her being ADD/ADHD.  They are considering putting her on meds to calm her down and get her under control.  She is so hyper and can't focus on anything.  We have always thought about it, and now the teachers at school are starting to see it as well, so it is time.

It took several different testings but they have determined that my small bowel is not working properly. It has a marked decrease in motility. Unfortunately, they don't know how much of the 17' is affected. They know that from my pouch to just beyond the 'Y' where the intestines that are connected to the stomach are reattached to the intestines coming from my pouch are not working right. How much beyond that, they don't know. The tubing used to detect that wasn't long enough to go any further than that so they don't know how to test beyond that. They tried injections to see if they could sorta jump-start them into working again. That didn't work. In fact, the injections made matters worse instead of better. The GI staff at IU have pretty much thrown their hands up. Oh well..that makes 3 GI staffs now. It is once again being put back into Dr. Gupta's hands. She is considering doing an exploratory surgery to see if she can 'see' physical differences that would indicate what is good and what isn't. I should learn this week of her decision.

That brings you up to speed on me I think. I'm just waiting...

Good morning my friends!

Didn't want to get out of bed this morning.   Went to bed later than usual so when the alarm went off at 3:30 I wasn't ready to hit the floor yet.

I sure do love this weather, almost like spring.  I talked to Marsha in Arizona yesterday, they were having sleet and cold weather.  I haven't looked at any weather forecasts because I want to stay under the illusion that spring is here.

Got to work at 5:00 today.  Wanted to get my taxes done because I knew I owed.  I had done a rough estimate several weeks ago which thank God turned out to be wrong.  I still owe just not as much.  At least they are done and ready to go.  Did the kids taxes last night and they are getting a nice refund which will help them out. 

Going to go by after work and visit with Nan.  After work on Saturday I went home to pick up Ashley and we went to visit with her.  Had to stop at Target because Ashley wanted to take Aunt Nan something for Valentine's Day.  She had made her a card and little basket at church so she took those to her  along with a little stuffed puppy, some lotion, and a pair of valentine socks.  We had a good visit.  Nan has come such a long way.  God is so good to us.

 Sherri, I do wish you were feeling better and the doctors would find the problem so they could fix it.  You have suffered for so long, it's just not fair.

Gail, I hope today is a good day for you.

I am off work today!!  I have already been on the treadmill this morning for one mile.  I intend to do another mile this afternoon.  The weather will be so nice today I plan on getting outside and cleaning up my yard a bit, everything always looks so yukky this time of year.  I am so ready to see the first tulip poke through the ground!! 

My son has music lessons (drums) tonight in Greenwood, then I think he wants me to take him to Castleton to pick up some cymbols that are out of stock everywhere but Castleton..ugh ugh ugh!!!  Has anyone been to the TJ Maxx home store in Castleton?  Thought I might try that out if I end up having to go all the way up there. 

Tried on three pairs of 16's yesterday and they all fit ..woohoo...been wearing an 18 since October so I was ready for a change!!  I have a lot of size 16 pants that my aunt sent me back around Xmas so it will be exciting to hang them up and get to wear them instead of looking at the tub and wishing.

Good morning all

I slept so good last night.  I had an awesome weekend full of fun with the kids and Frankie.  I didn't sleep much Saturday night so I went to bed early last night and didn't get up until 7:30 this morning.  That is unusual for me.  But I feel great!

I am gonna do some much needed housework today since I played all weekend.  We had a lot of fun playing games.  My kids adore Frankie and have decided to adopt her into our family so she can join us on Family Game nights!  LOL 

I plan to get some fliers made up for my support group and try to get some information out about it.  I know I wont have too many show up the first few times but I hope it will eventually take off and grow.

Carol, I will be praying for you today!  Lyn and Terry, you are in my prayers everyday!

Sherri, wish I was there to nudge you and keep you awake today.  That would be fun just to pick on you!    I rested enough for both of us.  So here's hopin you make it thru the day just fine!
