One week and counting

All the hoops have been jumped through,.... and I am ready to get to the lighter side.  Now, I just have one week, to get things caught up at work.  We're having a family "last Sunday dinner" with my family.  I'm just looking forward to this year and the upcoming journey.
God bless all of you who have had,  and those who are yet to have surgery.  What a blessing this tool will be.  We were blessed yesterday when the chaplain from St V's came in and sang a song and gave a talk of encouragement and prayer during our pre op class.   Thank you St. V's for thinking of our spirits too!

I am so happy for you. I know you have a wonderful helpmate and soulmate in Emil. You two are going to be wearing out the flooring in the bariatric wing! just be sure you get that piece of tape for the back of your gown...

Just based on the last time I spoke with Dr. Gupta, I will probably be up there myself within the next month or so for an exploratory. Then you can come and walk the wing with me. I doubt that I am able to get up to St. V's to see you. I don't do good and going anywhere on my work days with me doing 10 hr days. Bill's cornea transplant (his 2nd artificial one...oh, I don't know..maybe his 7th or 8th 'transplant' for this eye total) is on the 18th. Maybe after you both get healed up and before I go in, we can get together! We'd love to see you & E again.

Sue, nice to hear from you.  How are things in Peru?  Everyone still working??? I heard they have done away with some positions throughout ISP.  Hope you were not one of them.  I will be busy this week at work, trying to get things wrapped up in travel before I am out for a couple of weeks.

  It won't be long now!!!! I think that was wonderful to have that kind of inspiration in the form of a Chaplain come- God is encouraging you in so many ways! I agree, the folks at St. V's are wonderful. Hope that the next week flys quickly for you & you feel God's peace surround you as you prepare. We all are praying for a smooth surgery & quick recovery!!Looking forward to seeing your progress as you journey to new, healthy living!
