The latest response from my doctor's nurse:

Sherri,    We are in between a rock and a hard place.  The Drs. Spoke last week. Have you spoken with Dr. Gupta? Dr. Wittles does not have a whole lot more to offer.  He said you could try the Sandostatin @ 100mcg. For 5 doses. Let me know. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can't really see doubling the dose of a med that did nothing but give me negative affects. I forwarded this to Dr. Gupta's nurse. So..I'll be spending the weekend at least with no answers.

ps...talked with Gail today. She seems to be doing a little better. As we all knew, she was NOT the DtPepsiWeekness person......

pss...Ellen & I went to see Terry & Lyn. As we were there, Annette also arrived. They are already not so subtly letting Terry know that she may have to make some hard decisions within the next few days. Please pray that God will guide her....and Lyn's doctors...and give them all peace of heart and mind that it is GOD'S will that WILL be done. Terry was very appreciative of all the goodies, money, and loving care that this board has shown. I think Lyn's son Tony was impressed that Terry & Lyn have a very large circle of friends here.
