When did your hair...

When did your hair start to thicken back up or stop falling out. I am very lucky that I had overly thick hair, I mean so thick I would have my stylist take out a ton of it when I got my hair cut.  I have lost a lot but none other then me and my stylist can tell.  But I want my super thick hair back.  Not to mention it really makes a mess of my bathroom each day.  I take plenty of Biotin which I hear helps but has not really dont anything to noticable yet.  I  get my protein in as well.

When does it start to stop falling out?

Amen to that....I have taken to brushing my hair over a trash can or going out on the porch.  I use to have VERY thick hair when I was young but lost quite a bit when I developed Lupus.  I DO NOT have much more to lose.  I am afraid to wa**** or bru****

I'm 8 months out and my hair is starting to thicken back up. I didn't lose a ton, but I could tell it was thinner. There is hope!

My hair started falling out about 6 months post op.  I noticed it getting fuller again around 12 months post op.  I'm just now a little over 15 monts out and it's starting to be full again.  I really lost a lot of hair and it's come back completely different!  I had super straight hair and now it's really, really curly.  It's the strangest thing!  People keep telling me they like my new perm and I feel like they think I'm lying to them when I tell them it's not permed.  Oh well...I look like a totally different person when I look in the mirror.   A smaller me with curly hair!  Maybe I should change to a blonde too.  Then I'd look really different!  Hahahaha...

It does get better.  Hang in there.

I've heard that a lot of chemo patients have "different" hair when it grows back.  I have a couple girlfriends that their hair changed dramatically after having a baby.  I don't care how it grows back.....curly, straight....I don't care what color... I am getting gray and I am fine with it!  My motto is GRAY hair IS HAIR!   I still have to have my upper lip waxed so why can't I have that hair fall out, too?  NO FAIR!

In the beginning I lost a bunch of hair also.  About a year out, my hair started to regrow.  However, it seems to come and go.  I still lose A LOT of hair everytime I wash/brush/comb.  My hair dresser said it seems thicker to her.  My hair came back with some curl in it also.  I used to have THICK straight hair.  Now it has some (very little)  curl and it is much thinner.  But as you age, your hair also thins.  So I really don't have much good to say! Sorry!   (Also, you can tell where my new hair is coming in....I have what looks like frizz but it is the new hair ends!)
