Good Snacks

Kim,

You've gotten some really good suggestions here. I like the Fiber One cereal because 1 cup of it (dry, eat like it's popcorn) gives me 28 g of fiber (recommended is +30 g). And with my apples, I dip it in sf chocolate or carmel flavored pudding. SF popcycles, jerky, popcorn, and pork rinds have also had their rounds...as well as cheese. Myself, I don't really care for the dried Pepperoni chips. The last batch I made (in the dehydrator, not microwave) are turkey pepperoni so they are lower in fat to start with. I have been giving them to our dog as a treat. She likes them better than I do.

Right now, in my drawer here at work for those moments of 'gotta have something', I have dried veggies and a baggie of cinnamon/splenda nuts (Cashews/pecans/walnuts...don't really care for almonds. Dip in egg whites, dredge through cinnamon/splenda mixture then bake until dry).  I've also made sugar-free/flour-free PB cookies or sf no-bakes. I have recipes on my profile for them and other munchies.

Oh...I do love my fruits & veggies. I love the fat-free dips and I use the light laughing cow cheese wedges on celery.

Great thanks.  Sound like I am on track! I am not a fruit person but appreciate all the ideas.

Keep the ideas coming.

Thanks,

Kim
