Dr. Turkle

Hi, everyone!  I'm scheduled to have a TT and BA with Dr. Turkle in March and was just wondering if anyone else has had surgery with her and if they were satisfied/dissatisfied.

A lot of people I talked to said they didn't like her bedside manner, but I got along with her real well and felt very comfortable with her.  Now I've just got to figure out which kind of implants to get and I'm ready to go!

Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks!

I have not had surgery with her, but my best friend Arica did, she had a breast aug with a lift and she loved her.  Has since referred several people to her.  Ive seen her breasts and I thought they looked pretty good (I am a scrub tech and used to scrub in plastics so have seen several hundred).

Julie,

Good luck with your plastics. I had my initial consult with Dr. Turkle and did not like her at all. Snooty with a very capital 'S'! I was suppose to have had the consult with Dr. Bergman or Dr. Grassee but by the time of my appointment, they both separated from her and opened their own office. I went ahead and met with her instead. That was $ that was well spent only because I can let my friends know what my experience with her was like.

I left that appointment, went home, and made an appointment with Dr. Bergman...and loved her. Not only was she much nicer, but she was also about half the price and did not mind at all getting the insurance to cover part of the costs. Dr. Bergman did my full abdo and my thigh lift. I have recommended her to several people..and they have all had wonderful experiences with her as well. As soon as I can physically & financially afford it, I want her to take care of my girls too.

ps..when I was in a coma, Dr. Bergman came and saw me/my family several times. The PCP I had at the time never came a single time. I had complications..not from anything she did but because my body makes too much scar tissue in all the wrong places. She has done all of these follow-ups...for free.

I had a consult with Dr Turkle and she was very rude.  She basicly talked at me and not to me.........ignored my questions, talked over me when I spoke, etc.  I left her office that day not knowing anymore than I had when I walked in except for how much it would cost and that I didn't like her at all.

She, along with her office staff, kept emphasizing that if I tried to use my insurance to pay for any of the procedure, hospital etc that it would slow down the process terribly.  Instead they kept pushing that I finance the whole thing so that we could get on with it.  I refused and that was met with rolling eyes and huffy attitudes.

My WLS surgeon suggested Dr Grasee.  I met with her and she was the total opposite of Dr Turkle.  All my questions were answered.  I was not given a hard time about using my insurance.  Names and phone numbers were given to me of past clients that I could call and ask their opinion, experiences etc.  She was not pushy at all and her office staff is great as well.  I had my surgery 5 months ago.....tummy tuck, lipo and my ab muscles sewn together.  She did a great job.  I highly recommend her if you decide not to go with Dr Turkle.

Jule, I never went to Turkel but I did have Dr. Bergman and was thrilled with the results! I had a panni removal, full TT, BL, BA with saline implants. I love the work she did. My breast are awesome...lol can't even see any scars! I went with the saline as I felt safer with them and I have no complaints whatsoever! To be honest it took me a long while to be able to move them so I could even find them! lol I have full sensation and love the work I had done!  everyone is different but for me it was the most painful experience of my life ...thank goodness for great drugs! lol I literally layed in bed just floating for the first couple of weeks. Now a year and a half out I am sooooo glad I had this done! I gave the Dr's office permission to use my pictures in her side presentation as my results were so good and as a larger gal it gives a good representation of what a larger gal can expect.
Hugs to you!
Marianne

Pam,
It is so good to see you on here! I have missed your beautiful smile! Hope all is going good for you and your hand is better now. I think of you every time I turn on QVC/HSN...lol I broke down and got a couple of Bob Mackie jackets on his last show...I adore his style and they are awesome! I am trying to get myself back in check...with all the stress of losing my dad and now assisting my mom on weekends my grazing has turned to comfort foods and my jeans are feeling it big time! But not to be discouraged...I am trying to keep on track and working towards a realistic goal of losing 15~20 pounds this year and working from there. I always remind myself of the total lost and how much I have accomplished and try not to fall into the fear of regaining trap. Pam, I hope to see alot more of your pretty face on here!
Hugs!
Marianne

Im always around...u can email me anytime.  I just dont post on here often. This room was awesome for me as a Newbie but I just need a different kind of support now and I feel crazy to talk about it when so many newbies have so many real problems...mine seem not that important.

I have my facebook that I keep on daily.  Im in a Biggest Loser contest right now.  It started on the first and goes for 2 months.  Its thru the state of IN.  Several ppl I work with are doing it.  Its kindof exciting.  Im also enjoying getting healthy recipes off of this recipe site and trying them.  I also take pictures of the foods I make so that I can post them online with the recipes.  Its very exciting.

Still have the two house.  So Im never without house work somewhere.  Not to mention work.  We are also looking in to adoption.  So if anyone out there knows of a  little one thats in need of a good home and parents ....let me know!

Ive been busy crocheting baby blankts and bedspreads in my downtime at work.  So far this winter Ive got 3  done and some scarfs and a poncho made for my niece.

Sorry to read about your dad.  Bet your mom is lucky to have you around so much.   How is hubby doing?  Did he like the new job?  I miss you!!!  Maybe we could do lunch someday?

Geeeee Pam you are keeping busy! lol How exciting looking into adopting! As an adopted child I know how wonderful and special that is! I will keep you in my prayers!

I used to love to crochet but have gotten away from it and into reading big time. I am in the Nora Robers aka JD Robb death series and am loving it! There is nothing I love better than to sit in my chair and get into my books...ahhhh that is the life!

Jon is doing great! He loves his new job at Sears....not great pay but it helps and it keeps him busy ;-)

I would love to do lunch...my calendar is pretty full with work and all...I am trying to fit a hair appointment in for the 16th or 21st :-) Us girls have to keep up our beauty routine. lol i wioll keep you posted on any free day I get.

so what new great items have your found on TV? or informercials? You are the best at knowing what new is out there! :-)
Hugs!

Well I bought 2 big Philosophy kits last week when they were on.  I love their products so now I have plenty at each house and dont have to carry it back and forth with me every day.  I also ordered a picture scanner yesterday.  Im wanting to scan all the pictures my mom and grandma had and get them on my puter.....before something happens to them..esp like all the baby pics of me and my siblings and even my parents childhood pics.

I havent been buying to many clothes lately but I am back on a shoe kick.  Love my shoes!

Ive been looking for something sexy for Valentines day but with all this gross hanging skin I dont look good in anything.  Love winter becouse I can put on all my compression garments...and look good in clothes...LOL
