Beware of Phishing Attacks

On my cell phone & my Lilly pager, I recieved similar messages saying that it was from "[email protected] - Subject: Finance Center FCU Urgent. It also said call there is unusual activity on my credit card. Each had different phone numbers for me to call ( a 1-800 # and 13054071648). Once you call it will ask you for your 16 digit credit card number.

Obviously it was a scam. If you get one of these messages,

DO NOT go any farther with the call!

AT&T and Sprint customers have received the text as well as large corparate paging systems like Lilly's...so be very careful. If in doubt, call the # on the back of your credit card and ask them if all is well.

Hi Sherri,

I got one of those text messages too.  I reported it to the Credit Union and they said they are working on getting the phone numbers shut down.  I did just what you did and hung up as soon as they said they wanted my credit card number.

Obviously, someone has hacked the phone number listings or has an auto-dialer.
