I've been up since 4:30 with a bad headache.  I think it is related to the cold and congestion.  Ugh.

Only thing on my agenda today is to finish up laundry.  We aren't big football fans here, so will not be watching the game.  We only watched when the Colts were in the Super Bowl.

Another reason I can't sleep is that Terry and Lyn have been on my mind.  Dear God, I can't imagine how terrified Terry must be.  I wish I lived closer to the hospital and wasn't sick so I could go up and just give her a hug.  I'm glad her family is with her.  Let's all pray that Lyn wakes up and is fine.  It would be great to get some good news.

I hope everyone has a great Superbowl Sunday.  Don't eat too much of the snacks!   LOL

Chris

ETA:  I had a WOW moment on Friday that I forgot to mention!!  I wore a pair of jeans to work that had been skin tight before surgery.  When I got home from work, I took them off without unsnapping or unzipping them!!!!  Wahoo!  They'll go in the tub for the next clothing exchange!

Good morning everyone!

I hope that this is a good morning for Terry and that Lyn opens his eyes today and says her name. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I went to hospital for awhile and visited with her/them. I too am so glad that she has family there with her. I remember the days after I was woken from the coma and asking God why he allowed that to happen. I think yesterday, I might have gotten a little bit of insight. Once that Terry & her sil knew that I have a little bit of experience of being in Lyn's position, they began asking me questions to try to understand what he might be experiencing like what I thought was happening during then, did I hear anything, etc. I felt that...well..I hope anyway...that hearing my own experience was able to help and comfort them since in my case, I did not realize I was in such serious trouble. My mind had made a pleasant scenerio to explain it all.  If being able to be in the position of comforting others at a time like this is the reason it all happened, , then I thank God for allowing it.

I haven't really noticed any differences with the shots yet. Tonight I do the last one. I am still swollen/distended. I still have the diarrhea. As my body gets use to the shots though, the hypoglycemia hasn't been as bad so that's a good thing. Right now I'm having a hot flash though...which sence I'm post-menopausal, it's not that. I'm hoping that next week I'll learn that there is more in the docs game plan than just these shots.

Does anyone know of a  store that might carry the old fashion metal Tonka trucks? I want to get my grandson a few of them for his 3rd birthday coming up and they are so hard to find. Even Tonka has been invaded by plastic! My oldest grandson (Chance) is a studious kid and doesn't like to exert himself...just happy playing video games. RJ on the other hand, he's our Man's (little) man. Little hot wheels would become little footballs to this kid. He needs toys that are a little more rugid. lol.

Since we don'****ch football at all...even if it is the Colt's...we are planning on today being a Netflix day. I have some healthy snacks in the fridge and made an apple crisp so I think we're all set for a movie fest! Bill said 'yeah, right. Like you're going to sit still!'. LOL! Well..I do plan on it anyway!

Enjoy the day, regardless of it it's movies, football, or any other activity. Also, please continue to keep Terry & Lyn in the back of your minds. They need all the prayers and thoughts we can offer to God on their behalf.

huggs...

Lisa,

Thanks! I think I'll try TSC. I had already tried the usual kid places...Walmart and Toys R Us included. Their Tonka's were plastic.

Hi everyone! I've been lazy this morning! I usually get up and work for a few hours before getting ready for church, but this morning I plopped in the recliner and watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest! Don't know what got into me, but now I'm REALLY gonna have to pay for it this afternoon. It was quite pleasant, though. I'm the only one up and it was very relaxing, sitting there by myself, sipping my Click, and watching the movie. Guess I needed that!

My guys decided they wanted steak last night instead of this evening, so that's what I fixed for them. I'll be fixing fried chicken for their Super Bowl meal...then I'm gonna take off and do some shopping while they watch it. I'll probably pick my mom up and we'll just have a girls' night out! Sounds good to me. Until then, though, I'll be busy making up for my indulgence this morning.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

I am up and ready to slap on my Colts jersey for Church today.  I have looked forward to it all week.  I love love love football.  I love love love my Colts.  So when Pastor Tim said its NFL jersey Sunday, I was so thrilled.  Marc will be wearing his Bengals Jersey  but he looks so darn cute in it.  LOL.  I guess everyone has their flaws!

Well I am off to get ready for church and then spending the day alone!  I wish we had two cars so I could go visit Terry.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Afternoon Everyone,
I ended up coming home in horrible snow drifts last night, & was so glad to be home after seeing several cars & trucks in the ditch. Living in a small town you don't get much snow removal- even SR 47 was a mess! Several times my tire broke free & I was able to handle it, but Jax was scared to death. We had family night- Penny & kids, & Amy,Tony & kids all here for supper. We'd planned on card night, but by the time everyone got here, ate, & settled down it was 10:30. Then by 11 they were ready to bunk down for the night. Luckly Amy & Tony live only 5 blocks from us, but I wasn't gonna let Penny try to get back to Sheridan with the weather the way it was. So we had a sleep over, & by the time we all got up & ate this morn it was after 11am. I missed church, & I hate that, but I know God understands. They left for home about 2, & I have been so tired- I think I have kid overload, with watching grandkids for 13 days in a row. Grammy needs "Time out"-. Willow love to hang onto me & give me  lots of hugs, well, she hugged alittle too hard & now my right side is so sore- ouch! Its another dose of tylonal for me.
I have been praying for Terry, Lyn & family on & off all day.God is our great healer, I pray he will place His healing hand on Lyn, restore him, & strenghten Terry, also. I know how distraught you can become in trying times like this. I remember so well what Bill & Tiff went thru when Sherri was so critical. I am so glad you were able to go & talk with them Sherri. If anyone knows what they are going thru, you do!!!!!
No Super Bowl plans for us- DH is a race car fan.I enjoy watching the Colts, so I guess we will have movie night tonight-unless there is something he wants to watch on tv. then I'll read, & relax.
Hope everyone has a great afternoon. Let's keep on praying for all our friends on here going thru what ever hard times, illness, & difficulties. There is nothing too difficult for God!!!!
