Terry and Lyn

Hey all, was not able to see Terry this morning before I left the hospital. Did stop in the ICU and checked on Lyn. They said he was stable all night. Of course, couldn't give me any more details, HIPPA you know! I was happy to be able to arrange a bed for Terry to sleep in last night in one of our parent sleep rooms in my unit and I think she was even going to take a shower. I know that always makes me feel better. When I went to check on Lyn before I left, the nurse thought that Terry was still sleeping. I hope and pray she got a decent night sleep.

I know they will be anxiously awaiting word from the neurologist on Lyn's eeg results. He never came up last night as they thought he would. I did take Terry some drinks, pudding, jello, etc. She is trying hard to eat and drink. She had several family members with her last night and I know their pastor and his wife were there for a while. Keep them in your prayers, they both have a long road ahead of them.

We're all still praying that his eeg results are good.  I take it he has not regained consciousness since yesterday morning?

Christie, they have not allowed him to regain consciousness. He is sedated and paralyzed because of being on the vent and the fact that they are cooling his body so much. Hopefully once they allow his body temp to return to normal, they can allow him to try to wake up and see what happens.

I ahve been thinking of both of them, all night! I couldn't wait to get online and see if there was an update!

I am continuing to keep them in my thoughts and prayers! The road ahead will be tough- I am hoping that all of our OH prayers and support can lead them both down a smoother path along their journies that have been so complicated so quickly, in their beginnings!

Thanks agin! Please let them know that WE are continuing to pray and hoping for some more miracles from God above as we keep them in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days!

Melissa, thanks so much for your kindness and friendship to Terry.  We all are so grateful for you.  It does make us feel better having one of our own OH family members right there for Terry.  You are right about God putting you into each other's lives.  It's so cool to see God at work in our lives.  He is awesome.  I am sure he had a hand in Terry meeting you after your surgery so that she would feel more secure during this difficult time knowing you are there for her.  I pray that you will also recieve blessings for your generous acts of kindness to Terry and Lyn.

Oh, there is a post of support for Terry that was put up yesterday on here.  Please let her know people all over the country have signed it and are praying for both of them.  Last night there was over 60 signatures already.

Maybe the support post thread could be printed out and given to Terry to read while she's there with Lyn?

I am about ready to head to the hospital to see Terry. I did as you suggested and printed off the support post thread to give to her. There were 73 people as of now.

 Thank you for being there for Terry & Lyn, and all you are doing. God put you there for a purpose, you are an angel to them, & us. I hope she gets some positive answers today from the Neurologist. Praying hard for them.Please pass on our love & prayers for them both.So glad her family & pastor made it there. Try to get plenty of rest today girl, and may you be blessed for blessing others.
