ENDURE,

You have fibrocystic tissue problems? So do I. I guess it makes it hard to detect real problem lumps, because the breasts already feel so 'lumpy'. I had to have a surgical biopsy in 2001, because they couldn't tell if a lump was dangerous of just cystic from a sonogram or mammogram. Good luck, girlfriend!
Ellen, I hope you're better today than yesterday! That is why I was so mad when I went in for my annual and my physician handed me an order for a mammogram... saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I politely told him I was only 38 and I didn't have to have one until I was 40. LOL It didn't work I still had my mammogram. I can't wait for the next one...they've flattened out quit a bit with my weight loss...maybe I won't have to have one! LOL
Frankie
PS they tell women who are having Mammograms at our facility to cut back and/or stop caffeine a week before because it will shrink the vessels in your breast and it won't hurt as much; and take tylenol an hour before hand.

52 lbs lost before surgery!!

This is my first post on here but I have met several of you at St V's in Carmel. You have told me to join you on this board so here I am. Trying to get use to navigating the new board will take a little time.
I've had several mamo's since bariatric surgery. They are not pleasant but necessary. I also have breast implants now which makes it kinda weird when they start smashing my girls in their machine. I always picture this water balloon full of water and in that crazy machine and they keep lowering the paddles and squeezing harder and harder until it bursts! And asking me if everything is ok? Oh yeah sure??? LOL Just get this over with and give me back my perky twin girls that I paid big bucks for, with no leaks , ok?
All kidding aside, B/4 the implants I had needle biopsy and the needles are very long and it is really hurts. I know you all don't know me, but I have a high pain tolerance & don't flinch at much, but he took that needle in and out 3 different times trying to get it in the right spot and I was about to let him know how it felt if he didn't get it right this time!
Looking forward to getting to know many of you.
I will add Terry and Lyn to my list of patients to visit Tuesday. I hope to meet some of you at the support meeting Tuesday night too.
Hugs and Blessings,
Kathy
