Hi everyone i'm new to writing on the message board, although i'm not new to this site. I always read your things you have to say and look around. I have always been afraid to talk about anything b/c i've tried to have this surgery (rue n y) several times and have got turned down or something goes wrong. But i started again on this journey to try to have it again last month and it has gone so fast last week i talked with renee at st. vincents in carmel where i'll be having my surgery done at with Dr.Huse. and she said she was gonna send my stuff to insurance well it's been exactly a week and she called me today and said i was APPROVED!! omg finally now i can share my story with you all as well as you share yours with others. I can;t beleive it only took a week to approve me I'm scared and excited all at the same time and have so many emotions. Any I hope to meet new friends. Thanks

Congratulations! Don't be a stranger. You (and any other lurkers looking on) are always welcome. Remember it's OBESITY HELP, not surgery help. With or without surgery, obesity is the thing we have in common. Jump right in with both feet, we'd love to get to know you better.

Welcome, I too was a lurker until I was approved and everything was ready.... I had surgery on Oct 14 and am doing great.

no i havent found out my date yet she told me on the phone that the lady who does the dates and setting up pre op test will call me sometime this next week. thanks to all for welcoming me and i will post when i get my date and things thanks a bunch...
