TGIF!
I woke up at 3. I guess that's the breaks when your body is use to getting up at 3:30. I had really hoped to be able to get more sleep though since it was after 10 (again!) by the time I got to bed. It's a good thing I got up.That shot has been messing with my blood sugars. When I got up, it was 50. Because the symptoms had just started it was probably heading down. I'm glad I caught it before it got much lower. So..took a few glucose tablets and just had two of my Dr. Kracker crackers (high protein (5 g each) with pumkin seeds...a great source for fiber (4 g each) as well). Oh..I did put some Laughing cow slim cheese on the crackers. I can feel like body getting back to norm.
Last night Bill had arranged for a guy to come for our siding & give us an estimate. We already had one estimate from somewhere else. We went with the guy last night. He's from Unique...yeah, the one that advertizes all the time on TV. We're getting all new siding (the original alluminum siding is up now), soffits, windows & doors trimmed up, gutters & soffits and any bad wood they come accross replaced (which, we knew about 1 place but he found two more places. He said it was probably because of the old alluminum siding...too easy for moisture to get behind it & mold set in. Their estimate was more but they are doing a much more complete job. The other place refused to put it in writing how much they'd charge to replace any bad wood. Instead of this ugly LIGHT mint green, it will be light blue (Harbor blue) with dark blue shutters & facia. The windows J-channerl & gutters will be white. We agreed for them to have before & after pics in their books to show other prospective customers in the area and got an additional $350 knocked off the deal. The work should begin next week on it.
Today, Bill has his informational session about getting certified on some IT courses. If it's open to non-disabled people as well, I may take the course with him. Eventually, I could see myself in IT instead of the lab. Shoot...I'd be happiest if they would change my job in the lab to full time IT but the lab doesn't have an IT position. If they were smart, they'd send me for a few IT courses and a few for instrumentation repair courses (to go along with the trouble-shooting skills I already have) , dream up a specialty name for what I do and let me do it full time (even when I FINALLY get off of desk duty some day).
After that, we are meeting up with Bill's sister at one of his mom's banks (she had money in at least two that I know of!!). I guess there's alot of paperwork to be taken care of. After that, no plans that I know of. Well..maybe run to Walmart & Petsmart. I will probably ask Bill about getting dinner out. It'd be nice if I could get to bed before 10 tonight!
Well all...have a super duper day!
Huggs!

Good Morning OH Family,
It's just after 5:00 a.m. and I am up already. I have a 2 hour delay at school today. I haven't been to bed yet. I am out of my Restless Leg Syndrome med. So they are acting up. I am going to call the doc later this morning.
I am going to assess kids all day, tutor a little boy, and go out to dinner with friends. That's my day in a nutshell.
I got the results from my FSH blood test Wednesday. I am not in menopause. I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad. Although we don't want any more children. We are happy to wait for grandchildren. So I have added Tubal Ligation to my list of procedures they are going to do on February 9th. We decided while they are in there, they will take care of a few things
I offer prayers for those who need them.
Everyone have a great day.

I took a sick day on Tuesday. I've been battling a sinus headache for two weeks and finally gave in to stay home and take heavier pills. I dozed on and off all day. It's a good thing they closed work on Wednesday, I couldn't have gotten out of my driveway anyway. The plows had been through and left a mound of two feet deep at the street. I was happy to stay in and catch up on my reading.
I don't get on-line much at home. Working all day on the computer at work is enough. When I come home I really don't even think about it. Some days like today, I'll get on to see what is going on. I hopped on the board last night to see what I missed and what was going on.
Sherri, is the drop in sugar a side effect of the shots? Or is it supposed to do that? Please be very careful. Your siding sounds lovely. My son did our place and what a difference it made.
Tracy, glad your interview went well.
Carol, we'll have to get some plans going for a "north-side" dinner. Hope you have a good day. Sounds like Feb 9th will be a full surgery schedule. Where will you be?
Has anyone heard from Dawn? How is she doing?
Guess I better get cracking. We are having Dish Network installed tomorrow and don't want the installer finding my dust bunnies. The cable bill was getting outrageous and it appears Dish will be a cheaper alternative.
I hope everyone has a good day. Prayers for healing going out to those recovering from surgeries, colds, and flu. May everyone stay warm, keep safe, and be at peace today.

I am hypoglycemic anyway but haven't had too many issues with it since all this started with my intestines since food doesn't stay in me long. It is one of the listed side effects of this med though so I was forewarned. It dropped yesterday too but I wasn't as prepared for it then with me being at work and didn't really pay attention to the early warning signs very well. By the time I took the glucose tablets, it had already affected me enough that I left work so I could just chill out. I ended up nauseated the rest of the day. I did a much better job at catching it today. I haven't noticed any good effects yet...but I have only taken it twice so far (out of five total). By 1 yesterday though my tummy was already swollen up to 41" so that made for a miserable tummy evening.
I saw Dawn a week or so ago and she was doing pretty good. She a manager/assistant manager at the KFC/A&W near our house. My son begins working there for her tomorrow. He's excited about it! I will proably be hearing how she is doing pretty regularly then...lol!

Carol... I had a tubal ligation with my daughter Maggie's delivery, as I was having a scheduled c-section anyway. I don't regret it for a minute. It's so much nicer than having to deal with hormonal contraception. I was only 26 at the time. My doctor gave me a difficult time about doing it. It wasn't like it was a last minute decision though. I'd thought it through and told him at my 4 month check up I wanted to do that. I was in my 3rd pregnancy, and it was going to be my 3rd c-section, and my body was done!
Julie, good luck, I hope you feel better!
I went to St. V's and Dr. Inman's yesterday for my 2 year check ups. Everything is going well. They said I've lost 140 pounds. That's true from the date of surgery. I count the 11 pounds I lost pre-op too. She said all my blood work came back fine too. It was nice to have a day off.

I am waiting on schools to change to closings for the kids. it snowed another inch here last night but its real powdery and the wind is blowing it all around. I bet the county roads are a mess. We are still on 2 hr delay right now. Kim's van is stuck in her drive with 2 foot of snow behind it from the plows. So, It gave me the perfect excuse to take her kids yesterday and make her stay inside. That's not easy. She is bullheaded! But that's a good thing too. She is doing ok but her fever isnt going away still staying around 104. So pray for her. I spent most of the day with her yesterday keeping an eye on here. It was a good time between my taxi runs to get to talk with her and just hang out.
Today.... Taxi mom will be back in business. I am ready for this to be over. I dont mind the driving and all but it's so cold out there!!!! Ok. no more whining. I am blessed to be able to go out and drive others around when they need it.
So, I hope all of you have a great day and stay safe and warm.
Huge hugs,
Tracy
No school down here again today. But Darrell is out working. People must still have their lottery tickets!! LOL
I am wanting to head north so bad to be with Terry. But I am sure her family will be there before me. I may just go to be at my Dads and be with my family. My step Mom did have the gallbladder out on Tuesday. She had to spend the night due to her bp being soooo high. She scares us with that! Just being close to loved ones will make my day. My daughter has a pretty bad cold so I will probably stay home and take care of her. She actually still needs her Mommy some times even at 17! I love being needed. I can't ever get enough of that.
My dear OH family, you are all so special. Thank you for being here and sharing of yourselves. ((HUGSSS))
Have a good weekend everyone. Hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love and cherish them!
