The waiting is the hardest part of the process.  You can do it though, and as you are doing your six months you will be working along with your surgeon to get the other things taken care of which would have taken a couple or three months anyway.   For instance I didnt have to do six months but the process of all the tests and classes still took three months so really your not slowing down the process that much.  Hang in there and use this time to learn all you can about life after surgery and find yourself some peers that you feel comfortable with so when you have questions you have someone to ask.

Hi,
I had to do the same thing ( same Ins.) & it went quickly. I was on 18 meds. & had alot of co-morbities. Just take it a day at a time, do whatever they ask/suggest, & trust that it WILL happen for you!!! I am rooting for you!

A result of my psychological evaluation was that I had to attend such and such number of support group sessions prior to surgery. You can be working on stuff like that during  this time!

Everyone is right.  This is a good time to do all the preparation stuff.  I did the 6 months.  It does go fast.  There is a lot that goes on now.
