Lyn update

Lyn is doing better.  Had a rough morning though.  He apparently didn't ask for pain meds during the night cause he thought they would just bring them.  So he ended up going 10 hours between anything for pain.  It took awhile this am to get the pain under control.  His pain meds have to be oral due to the narcotic sensitivity.

He was up sitting in the chair and the nurse offered to let him soak his feet.  The ICU Dr came in and said that anyone that felt like getting a pedicure didn't need to be in ICU so you're getting kicked out of here.  So he will go later today to the bari floor.

BP still running high, temp off and on and O2 drops when sleeping but otherwise doing good.  Started on his full liquids today.

I read all of your posts  and will read to him also.  You have no idea how much it means to read all of these.  Thanks so much.

Terry its wonderful to hear they will be kicking him out of ICU.  We continue to pray for you both.   My O2 dropped when I was sleeping too ..what a pain in the butt.  All the bells and whistles go crazy just when your resting well.  Tell Lyn to enjoy his stay, you guys aren't missing anything anyway but nasty weather.

Terry, so glad to hear that Lyn's being kicked out of ICU!  Hooray!

My O2 dropped while sleeping also.  I had to wear oxygen anytime I wasn't up walking.

I'm so glad for you both that Lyn sounds like he's on the road to recovery.  He'll enjoy the bari unit.

Like Jeannie said, enjoy your time there - you're missing nothing but ugly weather!

Best wishes and gentle hugs to both of you.

Terry,

I am so glad that things are improving so well. My O2 still drops everytime I'm snoozing. When I have a scope or other procedure done, Bill & Tiff do all they can to get me to wake up because they hate the beeping of the machine...lol. I love a pedicure but when my O2 drops, one of them will play with my feet and in my stupor, I guess I get pretty ticked off about it. Hehehe...it makes my O2 go up so to them, it's worth it.

I don't know how early we'll get freed up tomorrow so how does dinner sound for Saturday? Max & Erma's is right down the road from St. V's and I think new post-ops can usually find something they can have there. Or if somewhere else sounds good, let me know.

Terry and Lyn,  I am so glad to hear Lyn is doing better.  I just knew he would be.  I spent alot of time driving around yesterday as a Taxi Mom for others who couldnt get out and when I am driving alot of times I pray.  So, I included both of you several times yesterday.

I hope you see great healing and progress over the next few days.  Take care and I am so glad you are in a great hospital.  They do take great care of everyone.

Huge hugs and lots of prayers,
Tracy
