Hi Terry,

I am so glad to hear that things seem to be looking brighter for Lyn!

I had this exact thing happen to me after my WLS and it scared me to pieces! I do not want to go through anything else elective- only absolute necessities!

I will continue to keep the two of you in my thoughts and prayers! I hope that you two are home soon and enjoying your new journies, together! Looking forward to hearing and seeing the WOW moments that the two of you will be sharing!

So good to hear that he is doing better. I can completely relate to what he is going through. I had my surgery on 11/10/08 and was doing fine for the first day. I was a perfectly healthy 23 year old despite my obesity, then the day after my surgery my respiratory and heart rates were rising. My O2 sats dropped and would not come back up. They tried a bipap, it did not help, so then I went on a vent. I was on a vent for 6 days in the ICU. I just wanted to say this so that I could say that now a few months later I am doing GREAT! No lasting effects from the aspiration pneumonia I had gotten or the vent. I will keep Lyn in my prayers! He'll pull through! BTW - the temp could be infection or it could just be that he is in acidosis (which is not rare on a vent because you are not blowing out the CO2).
