Good morning all!

I know its wayyy too early to be up for me.  But I got awaken by a silly little clock/compass thingy that the kids got on our cruise and had been playing with this weekend.  I guess they set it on alarm to wake me up without realizing it.  So, here we are at 4:30 am.  Yeah.

I haven't thought much about today.  I am kinda hoping the kids don't have school so I can have the whole day with them.  I am getting a feeling that I will be working very soon and our long days together will be coming to  an end.  We didn't get the tons of snow like everyone else but we got our share and I haven't heard the first plow come thru yet.  We live on one of the busiest streets in town too.

So, I guess my biggest plans are to do my homework for prayer class today.  Then I will spend my wee hours of the morning in prayer for a lot of dear people who need it.  I hope all of you take time today to just talk to God and give him a piece of your day.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Morning Tracy,

I'm normally on my way to work by now, but I just came in from shoveling snow and thought I'd take a rest before getting dressed.  Our work is on a 2 hour delay, but I'm still going in shortly.  The less traffic the better and our parking lot at work gets crazy when it snows.  Can you imagine 4000 cars trying to park in straight rows in the snow.  It was bad enough yesterday.

Brenda's cold seems alittle better but it's still pretty bad.  Sure hope I don't catch it.  She goes back to the surgeon on Monday.

Last night I received a call from my aunt in Texas telling me that my mother is in the hospital.  Last week when I talked to her she had coughed up some blood so she was going to have some tests.  Now she's bleeding internally.  They're doing another colonoscopy and endoscopy to see if they can see what the problem is.  Hopefully I'll hear more tonight.

Well, better get moving so I can beat some of the crazy people out there on the roads.

Have a great day and stay warm.

We got lucky - my husband and I both got a snow day, as our work is closed.  My poor daughter has to go to work, but can't get out - she lives at the back of a circle, and with 10" of snow, her van can't get out, as obviously they are low priority on the snow plow totem pole.

Safe travels to all who must go out!  DH and I are going to curl up on the sofa in front of the fireplace and have a movie day.  Those are the best times, and best memories.  I love it when we can do that.

Good morning!

Well..coming in to work early certainly has it's advantages! I took me an hour and 45 minutes to do the 20 minute drive home last night. 30 minutes of that was just from me getting onto I-70 and taking the first exit to get right back off of it! It probably would have taken 3-4 hours if I had stayed on I-70!! This morning though? Hardly any traffic at all at 4:30! It only took 40 minutes and I was able to do 35-40 mph. Hey, more than that, even on an interstate, is speeding with these road conditions as far as I'm concerned and deserves a wreckless driving ticket! And yep, there was an idiot that flew past me...in a light-weight car that you just know did not have 4WD! Dumb, dumb, dumb! I could feel my tires get caught up in slush & ice a few times and that was with my 4WD on. Ah well, their tow bill! As long as they don’t run into anyone else anyway.

Usually, Ray gets to work about 5:45 and here it is almost 6:30 and no sight of him. The others don’t start trickling in until 7-7:30. I could be the only one here today. Yes, I am a Taurus and stubborn as one! LOL! I’ll be going over to another building soon to do their firmware upgrades. I got 4 of them done yesterday and have 9 more to do today. And then ALL of the firmware upgrades will be completed! Woo-hoo!

I didn’t get a call from Walgreens saying my shots were in yet. With as bad as the roads were, I didn’t take the extra HOUR to drive bye there on my way home last night. I figured I have waited 16 months, I can wait one more day.

For all of you who have to get out today, be very careful! There’s some ice under the packed snow from the temps getting down during the night. If you can stay home, DO! If I’m the only one here today, I’m not certain that I’ll stay all day.

Ooops! 6:36 and Ray just came in. LOL! We are betting we’ll be the only two to show up! LOL!!!

Have a good & safe day!!

Sherri

Well I won't be going to work today with the snow still coming down strong here. Talked to my far off DH and he has been trying to get to work and said he was in the ditch once but is still going to go on to work. I think he is nutz. He did have a point that he can't get back to the camper as it has just changed from freezing rain back to snow down there. I told him if it is just as bad when he gets to a motel to pull off and get a room for the day. It is not worth risking your life for. That is why I left work early last night and won't be going in today. I had to take the dog out and then go next door to let the neighbors dogs out. BOY was that a trip! The snow was above my 6 inch boots and also I stuck my hand down in the snow on their picnic table and when I pulled it out of the snow and came home to measure it there was 4.5 inches on that table. I know that doesn't sound like much but that was up next to the house. So I am sure out where there isn't any place to block it there is more like 6 inches. I am going to try to get my laundry done and get my kitchen cleaned up today at least. Maybe I can get some packing done.
I would appreciate it if you would pray for my husbands safe travel today! Also I think I will take sometime out for a little time with the Lord as usual. Thank you for your all of your prayers.
Has anyone heard how Terry's husband Lyn is doing? Let me know if there are any updates please. Michelle

Hi Everyone,

I am home today.  I like surprise days off.  I will be doing some things here at home today.  I did bring some things home from school.  Just in case.

I hope everyone who has/had to get out in this weather is very careful.  It is nasty out there.

I am praying for all of our family's trials and tribulations  For those of us who's trials are few or non existent, thank the lord for watching over you.

I am going to get breakfast.

Everyone have a great day.

Good Mornin' Posse!

Hope I still have a posse! Sorry for just dropping the 'ol horseshoe. I have truly not forgotten any of y'all!

I have been lurking and catching up on news...well as much as I can...HOWDY all y'all newbies! (lots of new people I don't even know!)

I have been praying daily with Tracy's list and also for those not on the list.  Seems like God has been hearing from us all alot lately and I know he is very happy about that! (well not that so many need prayers...but happy to know we love to talk to him!) I know he loves to hear me talk one on one with him just like I would with a girlfriend! Don't forget to share our joys and blessings with Him too and to thank him for them!
We always say "thanks" to those who give us things or for things others do for us...we need to do the same for God. (sorry...thats the preacher's wife and church secretary coming out in me)

Weight loss for me has really slowed down :(  I have just been the same weight now for about a month. Wabash is having a support group now...starts Feb 9 at 6pm. THIS should help me get back on the trail!

I DO miss y'all and hopefully when the weather decides to be more springlike I can get down there to Indy and we can have a HUGE party!  lol

Mark still is not working so if you can add him to the prayer list we would appreciate it. YES he needs a job...but lord! he needs to have something to do...getting under my feet! LOL
(yes I DO love him....but...LOL)

Well I am gonna try to get to work...have to go brush the car. Just hearing that the roads are not good....but I HAVE to work today..have mail that has to go today! Maybe only be there for about 2 hours then home!

Y'ALL be safe in traveling today if you have to get out on the roads!

huggggggggggggggggs and smooooooooches,
Janene

Hi everybody!

Well, I picked a good day to be off, didn't I? I thought I might be going in to the post office today since my replacement girl lives about 45 minutes away in Milton, but she called while she was on her way and is going to be there; she just wanted me to know she would be late. The truck will probably be late getting there with the mail anyway, so no big deal. I feel bad for the rural carriers in this weather, it's so hard to get close enough to the boxes to deliver the mail and it really makes their day a lot longer. But...they'll give it their best shot!

Me...I'm typin'! I'll get out and deliver it later. Call me crazy, but I think it's fun driving in the snow! We have a 4-wheel-drive Jeep and it plows through just about anything. No, I'm not stupid with it, but it IS fun...

Better get back to it...have a great day, everybody! Too bad we're not close, we could get together and make a big snowman!
