wow moment this morning!

My daughter came by on her way to work.  She brought me a pair of jeans she bought this weekend and wore over here Saturday night.  She said she didn't like the way they fit her so I could keep them in my "hope chest".  My hope chest is a tote I store my clothes given to me until I "shrink" into them.  They are size 16.  So just for fun, i took them in the bedroom to try them on.  I came out to the livingroom wearing them and she nearly fainted!  I modeled them for her and she just kept saying "oh wow Mom!"  As I walked away to the bedroom she said "you look like a totally different person from the back.  You look so good!"   I almost jumped for joy.

This is the daughter that never visited me at the hospital.  She was angry that I got the surgery and said I should tattoo my waist before surgery so I could wear the extra skin like a skirt later.  I cried for a couple days.  I was so hurt by her.  I have been waiting for the day when I could put on her clothes and she could see how far I have come.   That was today!!!!

  I am dancing like crazy... sportin' a new pair of jeans!!!  LOL

That is so awesome Tracy.  I am so happy for you.  Isn't it great to have these kind of moments?  I hope that your daughter is seeing the positives of you having this surgery now.  The fact that you are taking care of YOU is one of the greatest gifts you can give her!
